Another former duck I liked was Jerimiah Johnson cut by Denver. Thought he would show enough catching the ball that he would stick around.

Tommie Harris has always intrigued me as a nickel DT. 3rd and medium or long, put him in and let him loose. Limits his reps, and he seems to still be able to beat offensive linemen.

S Chris Horton might be worth a look at S. Has regressed but sometimes a change of scenery from a poor team to a decent one can help.

Thought Tampa was an odd fit for Kyle Moore out of USC as he seemed a prototypical 5 technique for a 3-4. Maybe he gets picked up by a 3-4 team and proves me right after all.

Here are a few more that I like.
These players where cut by their teams.

S M. Rolle - Is he better then Johnson?

ILB - Mario Harvey - I like him better then our backup Walker.

OLB - Chris McCoy - was he cut due to the numbers game. I think so.

OLB - Prescott Burgess - Does he have the edge presence to get to the QB.

DT - Thomas Harris - Is he a better backup then Nick Eason.

I'd like to give SS Ahmad Black a shot. He was the Bucs fifth round pick this year and showed some skills at Florida. I doubt we bring in a rookie for that position, but I think he'd be worth a look.

Donnie Avery also intrigues me a bit. He looked healthy in preseason, and he has a lot of speed when his knees are right.

No.

ILB - Mario Harvey - I like him better then our backup Walker.

Not really but he has potential.

OLB - Chris McCoy - was he cut due to the numbers game. I think so.

No opinion.

OLB - Prescott Burgess - Does he have the edge presence to get to the QB.

He doesn't but could be a spot guy who plays special teams.

DT - Thomas Harris - Is he a better backup then Nick Eason.

Different player, only a nickel rush tackle in a 3-4 defense.

Phillip Hunt 6' 248 OLB/DE cut by Philly. Love his power & suddeness. Too small for 4-3 DE in Philly's defense & not an option at LB. More suited for a 3-4.

Its on Rotoworld.

Do we want to go through another CFL sack artist experiment?

per Eagles official website...

The list of the big free agent moves made by the Eagles this offseason will likely not include the addition of defensive end Phillip Hunt.

However, the Canadian Football League's leader in sacks just a year ago proved that his ability to fly off the edge in defensive line coach Jim Washburn's scheme was simply too good as Hunt made the Eagles' 53-man active roster on Saturday

I know almost nothing about him except he was cut by the Lions and even with Suh and Vandenbosh getting more then respectable pressure on the QB the Lions pass defense was horrible and DB's was at the top of their needs list.

If it's the same Vasher that used to play for the Bears, then 'no'...unless you like watching our DB get burned

Of the players released today, I would be interested in these guys:

DT Anthony Bryant
WR Donnie Avery
CB Joselio Hanson
CB Crezdon Butler-Played with Horton in Pittsburgh last year.
CB Brandon Ghee
RB Tyrell Sutton
S Akwasi Owusu-Ansah
DE/LB Jeremy Beal
S Kyle McCarthy
RB Chris Ogbonnaya
OLB Thaddeus Gibson
S Chris Horton
DE Jacob Ford
S Ahmad Black
OLB Antonio Coleman
DE/OLB Larry Hart-My favorite of the pass rushing prospects. Miscast as a 4-3 end in J-ville and still produced 2 sacks, 2 QB hits and 13 hurries in 163 pass rush snaps during his rookie season.
WR Seyi Ajirotutu
OT Selvish Capers
DE/OLB Eric Moore
DE/OLB Alex hall-He was here briefly last year. Could be worth another look.

I would also be interested in Phillip Hunt, but I don't think he was actually released.

The running back pool is a lot shallower than I hoped. Choice, Slaton and Ivory all making their teams limits our options, although I think Tyrell Sutton would fit in well here. I would much rather have Sutton than Chester Taylor.
