D. Anderson's accuracy is really impressive.

DA is not an accurate or consistent QB. He is what he is.

OTOH, the Niners looked horrible in the Qwest Field house of horrors. With improvement at RT as the season develops, a healthy Fitz, and staying healthy elsewhere, the Cardinals still have a shot at winning the division IMO. But it won't be a Warner-led snap like the last two seasons.

I am the only one who thought Greg Toler was impressive yesterday. Hopefully he teaches DRC how to tackle. :D

Yeah obviously the inevitable first quarter fumble by Hightower killed the first drive but DA has killed 2 or 3 others with inaccurate throws. Maybe the worst was the screen pass to Hyphen where he had to reach down and back to snag it, he got maybe 1 yard, if he's hit in stride he has a chance to get 5-6 more making the 3rd down more manageable. It's such an easy throw for most NFL QB's but Anderson not so easy.

Oh well, he hasn't turned it over yet and he has made some nice throws.

What ever else he did he WON which is the most important thing. Peyton Manning lost. No coach in his right mind would change QB's to a rookie when your starter just won his first game and threw for nearly 300 yards.

Nope.

How long before Fitz gets frustrated with his QB?

He was frustrated yesterday but some of his problems were his own. He was less frustrated after catching the winning TD. It is hard to be accurate when you are getting knocked on your butt play after play. I am amazed he lasted the entire game. Some the hits on him were late hits and not called. Clearly the Rams had a plan to knock him out of the game. I really like Max Hall but he is still just a rookie and like the Ram's #1 pick will have some growing up to do. Meanwhile we WON even if everyone seems to think Hall was horrible.

Denny Green? (wasn't a rookie though)

It wasn't a "lame duck" by any stretch. But people see what they want to see.

If there is one thing that Anderson does not do that is throw lame ducks. Where they are on target or not they are bullets. He in fact did throw some completions down field as you do not throw nearly 300 yds by dump offs like Matt was throwing. Some of his 3rd down and long passes were on the money and crucial. Why all the hate for Derrick Anderson? Sort of reminds me of when Jake Plummer first arrived. People were cheering for our starting QB to get hurt until he finally did. Anderson may not be the answer but for the moment he is 1-0 so enjoy it. Atlanta played a good game this week so it will be a tough away game. I thought our defense, both on the line, and our DB's played tough. Joey Porter, Campbell, and Dockett came to play. Wilson was everywhere. Fitz is clearly playing hurt but our other receivers are stepping up. I bet Anderson body looks like he has been tattooed all over after all the hits he took. He was grimacing in pain as he came to the sidelines on occasion and was even shaking his head as to clear it up. I watched one of the coaches look him in the eyes to see if he was all there. When the time came he was back on the field. No one can ever question his courage. This guy could be in fox hole with me any day.

I have to admit when Anderson looked like he had been hurt in the ribs I was screaming at the TV "please be hurt, please be hurt." I felt bad but I wasnt hoping for any career or life threatening injury. Just maybe a cracked rib that lingers till January and fully heals and he never has issues with it the rest of his life.
