I hope the Cardinals stick by his side. They continually ask all of us to stick by their side, even when conventional wisdom says this is a crappy organization. How many times have they let us down? How many times have the sold us bags of rocks?
Look, I am of the belief there is a lot more to this story. I am also of the belief this is a GREAT chance for this organization to turn a new leaf, break the common stereotype, and stick by their players side. If he did beat her, he will face legal consequence, probably get cut, and will probably end up in the news again 10 yrs from now. How bout the Cardinals actually support him through whatever happens? If he is another Lawrence Phillips you can cut him and save the money for a guy who is putting in the great effort. Nobody will fault you. Better than cut him outright, you can show some leadership and stick with him through his rehabilitation; you dont have to keep him on the 53 to do this...
There is much more to this situation than meets the headline test....
