Rodger will pass down the additional suspension within 2 weeks.

Think about it if you were the Commish of the NFL. You just suspended the guy and you'd think he'd get the point to clean up...then within 3 weeks he's in jail in Phoenix for 2 felonies.

You have NO CLUE what you are talking about! CLEARLY!

He is found innocent and Goodell is going to suspend him for 3 games?

The only time Goodell has suspended someone for being innocent is if said person never let the NFL league office know of the pending issue in a timely manner(I think its a 24 hour period) or if said player lies straight to Goodells face.

He is responding with emotions right now. There is no use arguing with him.

Back to the topic...

I selfishly hope that it's all a boondoggle, and he's in uniform come week 5. When it's all said and done, Darryl is just a guy. But if he's guilty, he's gone.

Thats definitely a VERY low bond for 2 felonies.

Especially for a pro athlete with a multimillion dollar contract. $4200? I bet he had that crumpled up in his shoe. I was expecting at least $50k (uneducated guess).

I'm curious as to how much solid evidence the prosecution has. This will be interesting to watch unfold

I disagree. IMO, the only way Washington will suffer a penalty from the league prior to his trial is if his interview with Goodell warrants a suspension. Roger isn't going to just take him down simply because he was charged with two felonies. There will have to be more to the story.

I'm just relieved I waited a couple more weeks before getting a Washington jersey this offseason, which was the plan.

Good move. There will be 3 new ones available Monday. One in bright orange, one with back and white stripes, and one with a picture of Desertdawg.

D Wash's new # is 56309381

Cardinals linebacker Washington arrested, faces assault charges

From azcentral:

http://www.azcentral.com/community/...ington-booked-faces-assault-charges-abrk.html

The argument started during a routine visit to the apartment complex near Warner Road and 48th Street where the woman lives with Washington’s baby daughter, the documents show.

The woman told police that Washington played with their daughter and took her outside. When she noticed that Washington wasn’t outside the apartment, she began calling his cellphone, according to the documents.

Washington did not answer his phone, and the woman told officials that she panicked when she could not find him or their daughter around the apartment complex, the documents show.

Washington returned with their baby a few minutes later, and the couple began arguing, according to the documents. He would not give the woman the baby and held her away with his left hand, the documents show.

Washington is also suspected of grabbing the woman by the neck and pushing her against an upper-story railing, the documents indicate.

He has never suspended a guy before their due justice, unless they never notified the league security office.

Unless you got some precedence to back up your assumption?

yea...just look at the fact that he plays football REAL well, but can't play because he's suspended 4 games for 5 failed drug tests and within 3 weeks gets arrested for 2 felonies.

please...I love the Cards, but if the guy can't make the field come Sunday's what good is he (remember this is a Cardinals forum..not the 'is he a good person' forum)

shoot if Ryan Williams got injured again and missed 1/2 the season you'd all cut him.

We are fans of the TEAM...and if he can't help the team because he gets constantly suspended...he's no good. He's taking a roster spot that someone else that can be used could have.

I'm not for cutting him YET.

Rodger G is gonna suspend him guilty or not for another 3 games....if he's found guilty of 2 felonies...add another 4 to it. That'll be a minimum of 7 games he's not playing nor practicing....and if guilty 11 games. If he's not doing jail time.

wake up....cops booked him because THERE IS EVIDENCE.

well not being able to play or practice under a first year coaching staff installing a new system is a killer,
if he misses 11 games he'll have to go through the off season and through another training camp to come up to speed,

bad bad deal for him
worse for the organization, i don't know how michael will handle this but i sure now how the old man would have 10 years ago,
but with the drafting of tyrann our mindset is different,

but 1 potential problem child on the field is enough, 2 of them?
that just sucks

Glad to know that not only you were at the scene of the crime and know all of the facts, but you also work directly under Goddell in the NFL office in New York and know his schedule.

You really are omnipresent

Not holding my breath on the OP coming with some sort of proof on his constant spouting that Dwash has failed 5 drug tests either?????

How much of a flight risk is Daryl Washington? How likely is he to be a repeat offender? That's probably why the bail is so low. Doesn't really matter how high it was anyway. DWash could easily post bond. All he'd have to do is call the Bond Doctor. Me! :D

I am pretty sure he did with Pac-Man just for going to a strip club. I could be wrong, but that was special case when he was not allowed to go near them.

....jeez. It just keeps looking worse. I hope he pulls himself together. Not just for my football team, but for himself. He's a bright kid, with a lot of talent. The sky is the limit for this kid, but in just a couple months he's gone from the either the most or 2nd biggest impact player on our D to maybe not even making it onto the field to make any impact thanks to some awful decision making. He needs to basically pull a Ray Lewis and lead a spotless life for the rest of his career if he's to survive this. And even in doing so, and putting together arguably the best career of any NFL LB ever, Ray is still bashed over that incident like 20 years ago

I believe you are correct on both. Pac Man technically didn't do anything wrong. But he was given specific terms to be allowed to play which he violated

They're really going off on him on KTAR. And ripping on the fans because all they care about is when he's going to play. They seem to think Gooddell is going to drop the hammer on him, guilty or not.

(They said the police report shows she has a broken clavicle)

Two sides to every story. Everyone should wait for the facts to come out. It sounds like he's in the wrong and I'm not excusing him, but lets just wait to see how it all plays out.
