In OT when Bulger had that long run that set up the field goal... was it just me or was Darling supposed to be a spy. He got BURNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNED and they scored a field goal. Now I was at work so i didn't get to listen to much of the game but I saw that on sportscenter... Correct me if I'm wrong please but Mckinnon is light years better than this guy.

Oh and Jim O did you get them to play the Cardinals music when the team scored today?

I thought by the heading that the wife switched channels during the last drive.

McKinnon's name was mentioned a lot bt the anouncers. Must of had a big game.

And speaking of the music, did they use the fog horns for Shipp again?

Oh yeah, Shipp got a hundred today even if the stats will show 98. Who missed their assignment on his last carry? He passed 100 then got caught in the backfield.

I'm really glad he had the yards this game also because Emmitt will be back the next game. He was nice enough to say that he would back Shipp up until he's back in game shape.

I don't think the assignment was missed. I think the Rams ran a run blitz to that side and, instead of checking down, Blake ran Shipp right into the teeth of it for a 5-yard loss that took us out of spitting distance of FG range.

He does that a lot. There was also one play where he ducked right into the pass rusher (coming from his right) instead of sensing the rush and either ducking or escaping (the way most NFL passers do).

Darling actually played very well at times. Honestly, it was his best game of the season.

Darling had a sack and looked ferocious out there on several plays IMO. Linebackers are not a problem with this team.

Wendell Bryant backing up a player taken 2 rounds after him in the same draft is more of the problem with this team.

Darling had a solid game until that point. I couldn't figure out what he was doing on that play as he hesitated then chased after Bulger. While chasing Bulger, Darling looked like he was wearing concrete shoes. Could have just been worn out, I don't know, but he looked awful slow.

I doubt being the spy on Bulger was his responsibility. I doubt Bulger ever needed to have someone spy him at all -- it's not like he's Vick or McNabb.

I think he just thought it was a play action pass.

It doesn't matter now. Wether he was a spy or not he was completely out of position when Bulger took off.

He was in good position but he just hesitated, like maybe he had responsibility for an area and didn't want to leave it. Just stood there and watched Bulger run by and then started lumbering after him.

Weird play.

This would be funny if you were a first time poster, but its not. You mean some of the hits I've seen great QBs such as Steve Young and Troy Aikman (sp) took, came as a result of their inability to "sense" pass rushers charging at them?

Not impressed by Blake as the Card's QB is one thing, but you should not try to qualify it with that type of statement. How about that hit that Lawrence Taylor put on Montana that injured his elbow?

Thanks for the memories. That brought back images of Aikman getting hammered by Wilber Marshall and Jamir Miller. Sacks where he got drilled straight in the face and driven into the turf. I'm sure he could "sense" the rushers coming, but there wasn't much he could do about it.
