The cap space isn't the issue with resigning Dansby, it is the upfront, out of pocket money that they would have to fork over. I have strong doubts that they will not be able to do this, because they gave a ton of capital to Warner.


We're thinking the FO offered Dansby 12M upfront. If accurate it's more than fair. It seemed like the parameters were in place and he pulled the plug. The FO (if acurate) has made a substantial offer.

As for their willingness to fork over the large 1sr yr. sum. Apparently it's there. The teams revenue streams are there and they had somewhat of a windfall last yr. w/ the playoffs, Championship and SB revenues.

For myself I am going to take a step back and use a "wait and see" approach. Not going to bash the FO or Dansby. I say this becuase this agent has been fired by two players within the same week, so I see something very fishy going on here that we all dont know about yet, thus I cant comment one way or another yet.

Heck the current parameters on the table might be the parameters his new agent starts with, we dont know if those parameters is the reasoning behind the firing at all. It could be something completely different.
