hmmm....

Practically nobody could say anything good about Dansby from the day he rejected the Cards last offer to him and now it's "great" and "good" to have him back?

Horse puckey.

Ha, my ex-girlfriend was so stupid and ugly...

Oh, we're back together, now she's the girl of my dreams.

Glad Los is back in the mix, although we have a hellacious divison, we should at least be entertaining. (and not starting Kolb at QB)

This signing is also a tell that Washington has one foot out the door and is being pushed by the door to have the other one out.

I love the signing of Dansby at ILB!

I think you have to keep that talk relative.

Most comments were about how Dansby wasn't worth the contract he was given, and I think that was more than justified thinking. That contract was atrocious.

This is a great signing. Dansby is still one of the best inside linebackers in the game. Last year was his best year in tackles. Putting him next to D-Wash gives us a top five inside tandem.

I think a multiple year contract would have indicated what you are postulating- a one year says that they hope to have the Washington situation behind them 12 months from now - at least that's how I read it.

And put me in the camp that's glad to see los back - in no way was he ever in the Simeon Rice category of players I'd have hated to see come back. He did what was good for him at the time, and now he's doing the same thing again. Hell of a player and that's good enough for me.

You are typically wrong with your analysis and this is no exception.

Dasby is here for one year. Dansby's hope is to make a solid showing this year and then land one more big contract via FA. Washington isn't going anywhere unless he ends up in jail for a prolonged amount of time or something like that.

I agree with this.

Also when/if DWash comes back, you could see Dansby outside and Minter inside next to Washington. Our LB core just got deep with multiple options.

I gotta tell you, this move more then any other has completely sold me on the fact that this ain't the SOC. Not only did the team let bygones be bygones, but they went out and made SURE they were covered in the event that something really bad goes down with Washington. This was an incredibly proactive move.

Love the signing. Los was my favorite Cardinal since he was drafted and glad he's back in the fold, with or without Washington...but man, if Washington does only get 4 games, we've got two very very good linebackers to play with.

All of this.

I'm so excited by this move. If we can bring in another legit TE before camp either through trade or a surprise release (the Bengals, Eagles, Cowboys, 49ers, Chiefs and Redsk*ns all drafted TEs in the first three rounds last month--although some of those teams had a glaring hole on their roster due to FA defections), I'm going to have to move from skeptical indifference on Steve Keim's promotion to cautious optimism.

Welcome back, Los.

Matt Williamson :
Dansby is great fill in for Washington during suspension, but also further implies more 4-3 w WLB Washington & MLB Minter

This is a very good point.

Matt Williamson is an idiot and a blowhard. Take everything he says with a huge grain of salt. I don't know how many more cues fans need from Bowles and Hardy Drive saying that this is a 3-4 defense.

Briefly got a chance to talk to Karlos Dansby. He couldn't stop smiling. Said he dropped his price so he could return to #AzCardinals.

Karlos Dansby told Sirius Radio re: Washington/Mathieu "If somebody wants my advice or guidance in Arizona I'm more than willing to help."

No it doesn't. This tells you and the rest of us that we need someone to hold the fort at WILB for at least four games. You know, when Washington is reinstated this season and gets to play.

Voice of reason. And as I've said 1,000 times, the likely outcome here is a settlement, which will include probation, fine, community service, etc. No jail time.

D-Wash will return. Dansby is D-Wash insurance. Nothing more, nothing less.

Totally agree, that is why you pay to have a good lawyer. Additionally this will move very slowly through the court system. Goodell won't make any move until its settled which will most likely be after the season.

Didn't know that about Matt Williamson. I just knew he was retweeted by Sando.

And they've said they will run a hybrid defense in situations with it being a base 3-4 defense. I dont think the idea of Dansby and D-Wash lining up at OLB in a 4-3 look is all that out of the question. I didn't take Williamson's comment as "They will run a 4-3 now". I took it as "this will be a different package they will be able to run".
