Daryn Colledge has a salary cap number of $7.25 million according to Adam Caplan. How is that possible? How in the world can someone that mediocre be taking up that much salary cap space?

And refusing to pay his $1 million roster bonus on Saturday and cutting him saves a whopping 450-thousand.

No wonder this franchise is so tight against the cap with bone-headed decisions like that.

Wouldn't shock me to sign a guy for a million or two dollars this year, with a higher cap number next year, and cut Colledge.

The CAP hit reflects a restructure last season. The guy responsible is gone.

Cardinals are no longer up against the cap. Free agents cost more than draft picks. Is he worth $7 mil a year? No, but that's his number and we're not cutting him so we're going to deal with it. He's the starting left guard. Next story.

I don't think it's as much as a done deal as you'd like to believe. One thing nobody seems to talk about is the fact we can offset that money to next year (at least $4M from one contract and $2M from another I believe). I don't think he'll get cut this year, but it's not as black and white as you try to make it out to be.
