I honestly can't see them winning 8 games this season...
Unless they have a RB such as CJ or KW light it up, its really gonna take some meltdowns by 2-3 of the better NFC teams we play to beat them no doubt. Or if #3 returns to 2015 form. A teams NFC record usually does you in or gets you in!!!

It's pretty said when it seems most fans already see the writing on the wall for Big Red after 1 week :bang:. I had high hopes!

I see the biggest issues not being our RB, but our o-line, WR and CB Opposite PP... not to mention a statue at QB.

David Chao, famous football surgeon, thinks DJ can be back in 8 weeks.

Unless cards are in a playoff race they should just let johnson rest till next season no point in risking a at worst carrer ending injury by rushing him back.

I still have faith cards can have a decent season if palmer plays atleast decent and the oline improves the run blocking.

But sadly johnson williams ellington are way out of david johnson lg :(.

I wouldn't be all that surprised to see them go to more of a spread em out offense & throw throw throw, with the short passing game being the go too.

Thesmel will be loving it lol

Career ending wrist injuries? Come on

A dislocated wrist that isn't allowed to heal properly can result in deformation of the wrist / hand because of the ligaments involved. However, that's not really an issue after the ligaments heal. What extends the recovery is the amount of time it takes to rebuild the strength and muscle around the wrist.

Right on. This is the type of injury the team should not rush DJ back from.

And they won't... and DJ's agent wouldn't let them anyway. He's done for the season... Bank it.

I am not sure he's done for the season. I think he'll be back for the last 3 games. Rushing him to play before that is probably a mistake. Knowing DJ he will be champing at the bit.

I would imagine it depends on the record/playoff chances and if he is 100%.

I highly doubt it... mainly because I don't believe the last 3 games of the season will mean anything. If anything, we'll want to lose out to ensure a better draft position!
The Cards and DJ's agent will be deep in dialogue after this season and I highly doubt his agent will suggest DJ doing anything that might risk further injury to that wrist!

You make good points, all of which make sense...if the condition is that the Cardinals are out of playoff contention.

There is something to be said, however, about getting back on the horse when able. If DJ can play the last three games and get some of his mojo back, that would be very good for next year. A better scenario that going what would amount to a year and a half only playing a half of football.

I beg to differ... This type of wrist injury is extremely delicate and unless fully/completely/100% FOR SURE healed up, the risk for much worse damage is very high.
DJ has already established himself on par with Bell. He doesn't need to rush back, take undue risks to try to prove what he has already proven. He will get paid, even when he doesn't play another down this season.

only way he comes back for the last 3 games is if we're still in the hunt and I'm not sure that's gonna be the case based off our awful performance against Detroit.

man, I hope we win this weekend. To lose all hope after week 2 would just suck.

I see this team struggling mightily just to get to 5-6 wins. Seriously, with a horrific o-line, no legit threat at RB and a mediocre to worse WR situation, our offense will likely rival some of the poor performances we saw prior to BA and Palmer coming aboard. Our defense will likely wear down each game as our offense will be putting up consistent low-play drives and 3 & outs. I really don't see this season going anywhere near as we had all hoped. Oh, and did I mention Palmer is old with cement for feet? Ughhh...
