Can someone please explain and defend putting David Johnson back into the game with a dislocated wrist? He came back from the locker room where he was examined. How can they possibly have decided to put him back in the game?

First of all he's becoming the face of the franchise, so why risk putting him back in there.

Secondly, that fumble on 1st down after the defense had forced a punt was a backbreaker. Turned the tide completely in favor of the Lions. Cardinals were up 17-9.

excellent point Mitch I never thought of this.

Yeah if its dislocated after that play the team should've known it that's for sure! I'm with ya Mitch, he should've never been back in the game. Wow

I've only seen the replays but there are several stories out there that say he didn't hurt the wrist earlier, he took a blow and was shook up. They said ribs, someone else here said it was to the head. He apparently hurt the wrist on the play he fumbled and that's why he went after the tackle with only 1 hand.

But I can see your question too because it's not obvious on the play he fumbles how he hurt the wrist, which makes you wonder if it was already hurt and they just didn't know how much?

But the story I read last night said they took him in to xray the ribs, not the wrist. Of course if it was the wrist, they're probably not telling us that now since they'd look pretty stupid for putting him back in

Radio guys said he told the trainers/coaches he was fine. They yanked him after the fumble because they realized how bad his injury was.

Every player wants to stay in the game. My guess is he was able to convince the trainers he was ok to go back in. After the fumble they realized it was worse than they thought and the damage was enough to cause weakness leading to the fumble.

Just a guess though. Heck he may have injured it more on the play.

I don't think it will take much considering the bad blood on the sidelines tonight. Probably a conditional pick would get it done TBH.

Saints are done, their O-line is awful and their defense has given up 350 yards to SAM FREAKIN BEADY EYES BRADFORD.

Put me in the trade for AP camp. Late round conditional pick. Can AZ fit his contract under their cap? It would make me excited again.

Good news is that a wrist injury has zero affect on DJ's long term career success, bad news is that DJ could miss significant time this year.

Put DJ on IR and hope to bring him back later in the year. Re-sign CJ2k and let him and KW battle for the most reps. Figure out want Carson's issue is and fix it.

If the Cards lose to the Colts I'm cancelling my NFL ticket.

I think the dj Foster signing is to alleviate kerwyn from his return duties. I wouldn't be surprised if we try to sign someone else on the street.

Unless there's some bizarre side effect where he's unable to secure the ball constantly.

But, he proved after the knee injury he's a freak of nature, so you're probably right.:)

BA was on Bickley and Marotta today and said it's a potential career-ending injury if it's not properly dealt with..
