Yesterday Peralta was batting second ahead of Goldie. David was responsible for all three of our runs in a 3-2 victory, driving in two and scoring the other.

So what does Gibson do now? He is batting him leadoff, behind our two weakest hitters (8th and 9th) with Hill hitting behind him.

Why must Gibson abandon the few things that work for him? Micro-managing at its worst. No self-confidence in his ability to set a batting order.

Kirk Gibson, the man who knows how to grab defeat from the jaws of victory.

Gibson moves Peralta from batting in front of Goldy and driving in runs to leadoff. Leadoff, behind our two weakest hitters and in front of Hill.

Peralta goes 0-4 and the D'backs end a winning streak. By one run.

Why can't Gibson leave well enough alone? If I could predict before the game that it would fail, why can't he? It is a sad state of events when a manager knows less about his team than a fan.
