Webb and the Diamondbacks beat Peavy and the Padres 2-1 to take the series. The bullpen behind Cruz, Pena and Lyon shutdown the Padres in the last three innings to give Webb the win.

Next up, Papa Grande and the Astros.

How about Webb pitching out of a bases loaded jam twice? Very impressive.

glad to see snyder finally hit his first homer. i think he should be hitting more here soon, he could get on a roll. i expect 12-15 homers from him, but that could be asking too much.

Just saw the Dbacks record against the N.L West. 17-5.

That is totally crazy good.

I would rather not see him load the bases, but given the alternative, very good.

The thing I am kind of surprised at is the 4 walks in 6 innings. Against the offensively-inept Padres!? What is that about? I can see perhaps going around Gonzalez at one point in the game (two of the walks were indeed to Gonzalez), but other than that, the walks are going to get him in trouble. Perhaps it was just a bad game (didn't get to see the game), but the walks in those "load em up" innings are what got him in trouble last year as well - when he did get in trouble that is. I do realize that this is nitpicking. :)
