It is hard to put into words just how horrible Matt Williams is at his job. That was probably the dumbest individual play I've ever seen by a base coach.

I was so thankful when the Nats hired him away... if only they hadn't sniffed him out so quickly.

Little league coaching is better.

Face down on the ground......................................

I'm out of town and can't catch the game. What did Williams do?
Oh, and by the way - Jake Lamb ladies and gentlemen!!!

We had men on 2nd and 1st, no outs. Tomas hits one to deep center, goes beyond the center fielder, all the way to the wall... somehow... someway... we didn't score a run on this play as Williams put on the stop sign. The runners somewhat hesitated in case the CF made the catch, but even so, Goldy was rounding third and the CF hadn't even thrown the ball yet. The runner from 1st probably SHOULD have scored and Tomas was a few strides from 2nd before having to run back to 1st.

Ugggh... Not only is Williams a bad 3rd base coach, but have you seen what the Nats are doing this year under Baker? Hmmmm...

Don't forget he fell to the ground. But I can see it the ball was only 420 away.

Yeah, as Dude says, the CF dove for the ball and didn't come up with it, it then rolled a good 30 feet to the wall. Goldy was already rounding 3rd when the CF turned to make his throw to the cut off man.

The best demonstration of how insane holding the runners there was; on a play where Tomas made it from the batters box, around to 2nd, slammed on the breaks, and scampered back to 1st (also with no throw) we somehow had our 3rd base coach hold up a runner from who was on 2nd when the ball was struck.

Outside of someone injuring themselves on the base paths that is probably the deepest single ever hit in that stadium.

They were down to their last strike when Lamb tied it.

Awesome win.

Yea, that was crazy. What a huge change of events! Glad it was in our favor this time!

At what point should we be past concerned about our pitching staff and looking for changes to be made? Even Greinke on the mound isn't a guaranteed W so far.

Not yet for sure. Bradley last night was an experiment. Corbin has been the ace so far and Greinke looked more like himself in his last start. The one I'm worried about is Miller. I don't see the the potential there. The guy looks like he has no self confidence. Ruby has looked like an All Star in relief??? There are some good arms in the pen.

A lot of starters around the league are off to slow starts.

Def too early to freak out.

Bradley's location was... uhh... suspect, but it was nice to see his velocity back. For some reason last year, even before getting hurt he was throwing 91, 92, when in the minors he'd been hitting 96+ regularly.

Hopefully the Dbacks can get to Cain early tonight. He has been struggling so far this season and if he gives up a few runs early, I can see him losing any confidence in himself that he has left

Yeah, Cain was so great a few years ago. Just not the same after the injuries he suffered.

I was hoping to see Ray go through the 1st in 10 or under pitches after two quick outs...but no. Cmon man, clean it up.
