Greinke did not deserve that loss. He pitched a marvelous game.

Was just going to say the exact same thing. Pitching was great, offense laid a huge egg!

The good thing that came out of this was that Zack played the best game as a Dback. I hope that continues!

Whether he wants it or not, Goldy should take a rest day tomorrow. He's the only guy on the team to play every game and he's hitting like hot garbage.

That aside, just not enough consistent production out of the top of our lineup. You can't freaking hand your ace a 1-0 loss especially going against a guy like Chacin who was 1-2 with an era over 5

Yeah, Goldy's killing them right now. I don't know how such a good hitter can go throw these stretches where he looks so bad.

It's such a frustrating situation with him... as he is so damn likable. Worthy of immense respect. A great (Fitz, Doan type) face for the franchise.
Defensively, the guy is nails. But man, he can look so awful at the plate. So many times his swing & misses are downright amateurish ugly!
He seems to be guessing a ton - which isn't that uncommon for major league hitters. But the dude is guessing incorrectly at a rate that seriously diminishes his value to the team. Who knows - perhaps in the weeks ahead he's able to dig himself out of this slump. Since his first full season in the bigs (2012), he's never ht worse than .286, a year when he also put up his lowest OPS at .850.
As was mentioned earlier, Goldy is most likely at his best, a .280 hitter, with 20-25 HR's, 90 RBI and a high 800's/low 900's OPS, offering all-star worthy defense and extremely valuable leadership... I just hope he can get to that level this season...

You know; I'm not mad at Corbin even tho that inning was tough, he really gutted it out and limited the damage. The RBI double was kind of a garbage hit down the line and if Lamb could make a major league play at 3rd... well you know

All in all PC got through that well only giving up the two runs.

There pitching has been great and yet there hitting sucks. Why can't they all come at the same time! How are they having issues with yesterdays and today's pitchers? Making them look like aces when they are far from it!

Dbacks are a freakin roller coaster! This game sucks! Of course it ends with the worst batter on the team - Descalso.

I didn't get a chance to watch the game but listened to the last inning or so on the radio. I was surprised by the score. I really thought we'd take this game. Shows what I know!

What are our expectations? We are 10-7 against some stiff competition with 2 straight losses with quality pitching starts. At this point we are a .500 team playing well.
