Well, the good news is that the Astros have been struggling, with just 3 wins in their last 10 games. The bad news is that the Dbacks face both Oswalt and the Rocket, without having Webb this series. Time to get back on track after a disappointing series in Philly.

Yeah those last two games have some scary pitching match-ups for us. Enrique HAS TO beat Backe today. I hope Chad Tracy can start his 2nd half hot streak like last year...

I think if Enrique has another sold night we can easily take this one, runs shouldn't be a problem if we can score early. Thankfully the Astros aren't too good at scoring runs which should allow Enrique some slack, but I wouldn't count them totally out.

...Oh crap, tommorow we have Juan Cruz on the mound and on Sunday they have Roger Clemens.Like Nasser said, we need too win!

Wow, watching Luis Gonzalez "play" left field makes me love Carlos Quentin.

Can you even consider there to be a left field in Houston? It's more like a friggen softball field out there

Yeah I know, what the hell are the odds man. The guy hasn't hit a homerun all year until now. God I can't wait until the D'backs are back home at Chase field, I already can't stand Houston.

4-4 now....how the crap are we being evenly matched by the Astros?I thought these guys almost never scored runs? :bang:

Yeah, no kiddin.

Update: we retake the lead only too probably let the Astros tie in the the bottom of the 6th. 5-4 with nobody out and Jackson on second. So if history has taught us anything, that means it's going to be 5-4 going into the bottom of the 6th as well.

I rest my case. Quentin should be playin every 2 out of 3 games AT LEAST. The kid belongs here and HAS FOR A WHILE. Put him in there Melvin.

Gotta love Q.

Steps in to pinch hit, swings at the first pitch, homerun.

How many HR's is this kid going to get when playing an entire season? 40, 50, 60? He reminds me of Pujols coming into the majors.

Man, at what point does Green or Gonzo go up to Melvin and say, "You're an idiot. Take me out and start this kid"?

Wouldn't THAT be refreshing. :p

Ah crap, once again Houston pulls within one run. We NEED some better pitching, we have some respectable offence, but wow our pitching has been pretty bad tonight. Hopefully we can hold them off though, hopefully.

Go D'backs!

Damn it, trade Green or Gonzo, Quentin is a freakin' stud!

No matter what happens from here on out, I feel like Quentin and Drew salvaged this season. At least, this team is fun to watch again!

The thing that I'd love Gonzo too do is retire after this season, that way we can have Carlos Quentin take over. I like the guy too much too want him traded, I want too see him retire a D'back.

Melvin = IDIOT. How is Carlos not starting? Do you have to kill rallies with GDP's and K'ing with a runner on 3rd and less that 2 outs to start? Hey front office, start the kids and I will go! Nobody wants to see the tired retreads struggle anymore.
