Maybe Micah Owings pitched such a horrible Spring Training because Micah Owings was teaching all the other pitchers how to hit? Nice double for Edgar Gonzalez!

I'm done with Edgar Gonzalez, he never seems to have command of his pitches

This team is just rediculous.....and people (myself included) were worried about our offense. EVERYONE on this team can hit and hit for power. Hopefully they don't all get cold at the same time though, that is the only real risk with a team this young.

This win helps take my anger away from the Suns yearly collapse against the Spurs in the playoffs.

At least Arizona has one team that can close out a game.

Ryan, giving up 3 runs in 6 innings isn't bad. After all, he's probably not being counted on to win more than maybe 10 games this year.

Another nice win. Lyon looked shaky again. Those first two outs were hit hard, thankfully right at Upton.

Any time your NUMBER 5 starter can get a quality start (6 innings, 3 or less runs), you are way ahead of everyone else. Most teams would kill to get that game out of a #5.

And once Davis is back, Micah/Davis/Johnson are 3-5

Interesting, because I went to take a pee and came back and the game had ended, and I thought hey Lyon must have done well, guess that was presumptuous.

Agree. Let's hope the guys can get plenty of runs for RJ and also make no errors tomorrow.:)

It's unfortunate they'll probably have the Lakers-Nuggets game instead of RJ's start in the weight room today. I'll probably miss it.

i was at the game the last 2 nights, and this team is exciting! i've already been to 3 games this year, and i went to maybe 10 last year. the attendence yesterday was jaw dropping with edgar on the mound. i thought edgar actually pitched very well, keeping his team in the game which was very good for a number 5 (6) starter. this city is obviously excited as well. there was a certain buzz to the game yesterday that wasn't much different than the playoff game i went to. when drew had his nice defensive play, and his big hit, the dreeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeew's rained down from the crowd. great game, now lets sweep these surfer punks today.

Lets go Randy!

All-Time Strikeout List
1. Nolan Ryan(5,714 K's)
2. Roger Clemens(4,672 K's)
3. Randy Johnson(4,623 K's)

At least 8 more starts needed.

How ridiculous is it to have a Randy Johnson as your #3 starter! I don't care how old he is, he's still a better pitcher than 80-90 percent of all the major league pitchers. Go Dbacks!

RJ needs to give us 5 or maybe 6 innings and give up 3 or fewer runs and I'll be happy, win or lose. In this park, I fear the worst with RJ.

Right now, the Dbacks are much more dominant than the Suns were this year too. I can't see any chinks in the armor either. The hitting will slump sometimes, probably, but the pitching is making us competitive almost every single day.

Because Melvin is a moron. They get back in the game and he brings in a srub like Slaten.

Come on now, Slaten had an ERA under three in 61 games last season.
