I think the latest trailer shows some promise. However, Jesse Eisenberg's line ("The red capes are coming. The red capes are coming") was cringe worthy and delivered pretty horribly. I really hope his character is performed better than that. I am not going to judge him by that one line but it was pretty bad.

Here's a crazy fan theory about Ben Affleck's role. I'm liking it. The link is to the abridged version of this theory. I'm still reading the full thesis.

Ben Affleck is not Bruce Wayne?

Except there has been plenty of commentary from writers, the director and the actors about Affleck's motivation as Bruce Wayne.

I put this up there with the beyond ridiculous notion that Kylo is Luke. Some fans have too much time on their hands.

That looks like it would explain everything. I think we need to...enhance.

Funniest comment was the guy that wanted to go see the movie with the writer and see his face when he realizes he wasted all that time with such an insane article.

of course it is... which is my biggest problem with the construction of this movie. We're going to have 2/3s of a movie that's all schmuck bait because we know from the beginning that both Bats and Supes are good guys, which puts the audience WAYYYYYYYYYYYYYY ahead of the main characters, which I fear will be completely annoying to watch until they figure it out for themselves.

the only way they can avoid this is if Supes somehow goes Bizzaro Supes for some reason and Batman actually HAS to beat him down and turn him back into Superman. Otherwise, it's all just mental masturbation until they come together to defeat the real evil in the movie.

Good points as always. I do wonder what is going on though, I think you are on to something with the Bizarro Supes tho. This sequence in the trailer makes me wonder what the heck is going on. Guys with superman patches trying to take down Batman...

I'm getting more and more stoked for this one just out of pure intrigue. superman has always been my favorite and I have been disappointed in every Superman movie so far, so maybe this is the one where it will be awesome. :)

Two things about that clip. 1. Pissed off that yet another Hero film is so flippant about revealing a hero's identify in front of others. It's absolutely one of my biggest pet peeves about Hero movies. I mean if it happened as often as it does in the movies nobody would have a secret identity. So....BOOOOOOOO!. 2. Superman looks pissed which doesn't appear to be his normal demeanor. I wonder if he is under the influence of Red Kryptonite or something that makes him evil?

To be fair, Batman's identity revealed to Superman isn't that big of a deal.

I agree but that is not the issue. There were other people captured hanging next to Bruce. There were also Superman followers present standing guard. That is what I was referring too. It's so stupid that writers are so nonchalant about this type of thing. It would be so unrealistic with that many people present his secret identity wouldn't end up being worthless.

See previous Batman films, Spiderman...etc.......writers sometimes just don't get it.

I still think this movie will be a train wreck, but I am intrigued by the idea that Superman is not only garnering followers, but is accepting their worship. These trailers do present some interesting themes. Sad that it seems like a smushed-together mashup, overall.

Do you think it's possible that since this is an older Batman, that his secret identity might have already been compromised in this universe? There's a lot of strange things with this movie--this and the fact that they are painting Superman to be a villain.

No, I still think it's the same universe with loose ties to Nolan's verse. However, it's possible this is a dream sequence. If it's not, it's just simply disappointing that these writers keep falling into the same trap of revealing a hero secret identity like it's no big deal.

I am pretty excited about this movie but the latest trailer is pretty 'meh'.
