DCU: Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice

This is my feeling as well...unless Batman has some crazy kryptonite weapon, of course Kryptonite was even touched on in the latest movie (or did I miss it?).

Batman and Superman are friends to the point they know each other's secret identity. Superman gave Batman a ring containing Kryptonite in case Superman goes mashuga. Don't know if they'll include that in canon but Bats had to use it once in the Hush story arc when Supes was under Ivy's influence.

Good God, what an absolutely abysmal casting choice for Wonder Woman, guaranteeing I won't see it. A Twiggy skeleton to play the Amazon warrior character? Sheesh, that's just dumb. I had no idea who this actress was, so I did an image search on Yahoo. I think she'd fall to pieces if a strong breeze came along. Why couldn't they cast an actress with a real figure?

...the involvement of Ben Aflleck!

It may be me wearing rose-colored sunglasses, but let me explain:

1. The dude is a comic book nerd. He knows these characters, and I'm fairly certain he wants a faithful adaptation...and I think he actually cares if it's good.
2. He's come a long way from the average Daredevil, and the abysmal pet project for his wife Electra. Argo was pretty good, and he received the appropriate accolades.
3. Considering the success of his last project he's got the juice to make WB force the Snyder/Goyer tandem to accept his creative input if things go south during production. They'd be stupid not to listen him in the first place.

Just my two cents worth.

Before he decided to go back to school, this guy worked in costume design at WB. He got to work on Batman and Robin creating designs for Mr. Freeze. His boss told that Arnold was coming down to personally look over his sketches, and that he could be there if he wanted to be. His boss also say it was OK for him to bring his son, to share in his "brush with greatness".

So, when the time came Arnold was there for maybe 30 seconds. He looked at the designs and exclaimed "My arms?!?!?! Where da**** are my ARMS?!?!?!?!? You cannot see my ******* ARMS?!?!?!?"

He described the experience as being a "Hollywood drive-by shooting".

I say why not directly compete with the X-men franchise? Why not just have a painted on costume? After all, she is supposed to be from the Amazon.

Ha! I have heard lots of stories about this guy. My brother went to a Charity even he was at and said he was a straight up ass to everyone. My wife used to work at this Salon and she met Linda Hamilton and her assistant. The funny thing is my wife asked Linda what it's like working with Arnold and she said he was very professional on set the movies were fun. She side stepped the question. After she left, her assistant paid the bill and leaned over and said "I can't stand the guy". LOL. Nuff said.

Muscle mass? Mmmmm...if anybody had looked at that picture of Bale....nobody would have said he had the ability to put on that much muscle. Besides, I don't know of anybody who wants Wonder Woman to look like a Professional female wrestler.

I just need her to be hot, have some muscle tone and be able to act. I am still pulling for the painted on costume.

Nah, there's a nice happy medium. Going slim and trim is a big mistake, and casting Girlzilla is too. Why couldn't they cast someone who wasn't a stick? There's only so much they'll be able to do with her, and I don't want them to make up the difference with massive CGI touch-ups like in 300.

Um, no. Chyna is now a 2 bit porn actress. But there are better choices. For starters, Gemma Arterton:

I doubted Heath Ledger as the Joker...until I saw The Dark Knight! I freaked out of Affleck as Batman, but I've since learned to give a pass in terms of casting until I have a chance to see the movie.

That said...I would think that Lynn Collins, Malin Akerman, or Michelle Williams would be solid choices for Wonder Woman.

None of Syder's movies have been problematic due to casting. His casting of Watchmen and 300 was inspired. Henry Cavill as Superman, Costner as Pa Kent, and Michael Shannon as Zod were all terrific choices. I imagine Affleck's choice will turn out to be really cool too.

Now if the story/direction could just live up to the casting, that would be awesome.

Jason Momoa in Talks to Join Batman-Superman Movie

Jason Momoa is in negotiations to join the cast of the untitled Batman-Superman movie being made by Warner Bros. and DC Entertainment, sources tell The Hollywood Reporter.

It's unclear whom Momoa will play due to the Kryptonite lock on the project’s details. There's been speculation that the movie's villain could be Doomsday, a Kryptonian scientifically engineered into an intergalactic killing machine. Doomsday famously “killed” Superman in the comics, which became a media event in 1992. The character's existence is even hinted in the extras of the Man of Steel Blu-ray.

However, a source speculated that if Warners is populating the movie with members of the Justice League, Momoa could also play the Martian Manhunter, a super-powered alien trapped on Earth. Momoa, with his muscular physique, could be a fit for either character.
