Gregory is this years biggest draft bust if you ask me. He just doesn't have the bulk and doesn't seem to have the ability to put on size. There are always those Shawn Bradley types that no matter how many calories they pour in just can't add size.

So they are all similar in size with Dupree & Fowler being a little thicker. Now lets see how fast they are...that is what matters most and what will separate them.

I am driving the Bud Dupree express, but I doubt he'll be there.

As much as I like Dupree, I'm driving the Fowler train, bus, tractor & bandwagon. :D

I'm pretty sure Fowler isn't lasting long in this draft, but if he's avaible at #7-10 I would trade up & nab him if I were Keim!!! While I think he & Dupree both play the run well particulary sideline to sideline, I think Fowler has more explosiveness blowing by blockers. To me (barring injury) he's a sure fire superstar reminding me of Von Miller & Houston, where as Dupree is more than likely gonna be a pretty darn good player. And Fowler is one nasssssty dude!

Mike, I hope we're lucky enough to get either player with Fowler leading the way, but isomething tells me it's gonna take a trade up before #24 to acquire one of these much needed players.

Hey Mike I think Fowler is a top 10 pick though. I agree he looks dynamic, but to make the move up to the 8 or 9 spot would be costly. But I said in another thread this might be the year to mortgage the future to move up and get an OSLB who play all 3 downs.

I agree that Gregory is this years big bust. I just don't see it in him. Interesting to see Shane Ray and Beasley come in pretty much the same.

I'd be more than happy with Ray, Fowler, Dupree or Beasley

I can't disagree with anything you said here. I would luv to see what this D could do with a 15 sack a year guy off the edge that puts the fear of the big man upstairs in a LTs eyes each play. I also have concerns about an unproven inexperienced DC in Bettcher, but hell I was concerned with Bowles after Horton left too.

Fowler is way gone. He wont even make it to #10. WAY gone. We pick #24, are you crazy. Whats the point in even mentioning his name.

As for guys who might make it to us:

Vic Beasley has a monster day so far. Huge bench and came in much bigger than expected. If he runs well, then he will prob also get snatched up quickly.

Which leaves our best remaining option as Bud Dupree, who will also prob not make it to us

:(

For as bad we need a pass rusher, whats the point of taking the 6th best one in the 1st round?

Id rather take the #2 CB, or #1 something else.

I agree. Get the pass rusher in free agency and then take bpa. I would love it if La'el Collins was on the board at 24.

Vic Beasley-6.03 246 32.05 arms.
-Could play ILB or OLB for us.

Dante Fowler-6.02 261 33.75 arms.
-Prototype, and might go ahead of Gregory if he shows plus athleticism.

Randy Gregory-6.04 235 34 arms.
-Has shrunk a ton from pre draft listings. This and JUCO issues could cause a fall.

Eli Harold-6.03 247 33 arms.
-Nice size for our defense.

Zach Hodges-6.02 247 34.02 arms.
-Nice edge rush size. Could be a mid round option.

Danielle Hunter-6.05 252 34.02.
-Absolute edge size.

Owa Odighizuwa-6.03 267 33.07
-Perfect OLB size.

Nate Orchard-6.03 250 33.07
-Will need to show burst because his size isn't perfect/.

Shane Ray-6.02 245 33.01
-OK size for OLB, will need to show burst.

Stephone Anthony-6.03 243 32.06
-Perfect size for ILB

Paul Dawson-6.0 235 31.06
-Film will need to show instincts to make up for size

Xzavier Dickson-6.03 260 33.06
-Nice size for OLB

Alvin Dupree-6.04 269 32.08
-Ideal size.

Obum Owacham-6.05 246 34.04
-woudl need bulk but offers potential

Eric Kendricks-6.00 232 31
-instincts make up for size

Benardick McKinney-6.04 246 33
-Needs to show burst to play ILB

Denzel Perryman-5.11 236 31.11
-arm length a concern though comparable with Kendricks

Shaq Thompson-6.00 228 33
-Big size concern but he has shown to be a top playmaker. I would take him in a sec as an ILB.

All of that, but for Shane Ray.

Apparently he is not working out at the combine.

I like him, but don't understand the hype. One year of starting production. Decent measurables. again, good player, but I just don't see what separates him from Nate Orchard.

Orchard doesn't have nearly the first step or burst that Ray does.

McKinney, Perryman we can get trading down. Erving and Flowers are good options where we sit. One of the CB's could be a surprise pick as well.

So much speed in these prospects
Beasley 4'53
Harold 4'53 (with a blazing 1'56 yard split)
Gregory 4'57
Hunter 4'58
Fowler 4'61
Odighizuwa 4'64

Looks one of the best class ever so far

Unless we trade up, we will have no shot Beasley, Gregory or Fowler (Shane Ray too).

I think Harold will probably be taken prior to #24 too.

Dear mitch its time to move up
As it was reported last year we tried to get in the 12th spot to grab anthony barr ,this year we cant wait too long and just target 3th or 4th round pass rushers who doesnt bring nothing special to our highly rated defense

Imo gregory is undersiize considering his height 6'5
I think he can slide and playing ILB for us
Also in college he used to blitz from the middle and he has the athleticism to move well in the backfield
