He said it's not the money. It's the Principle. So I don't think there is noway he will play for the cards even we give him $100M. He is the man of his words. Trading him is the only way unfortunately...Just saying.

Am I the only one that would look to deal the guy even if he wasn't acting like TO Jr?

I have to admit that, until he started talking, I was fully in the "pay the man" camp. Now? Not so much.

I don't think any organization should keep an unhappy employee if they have options of moving him out.

Q says he wants to play football but not in AZ. So the Cards should do the best they can to trade him. If they can't get a good enough deal, then keep him here and let him sit if that's what he wants to do.

The fact is we can sit behind our computers and debate until we die what has happened, what was and wasn't promised and what will eventually happen. The realization is we just don't know.

Q,

Don't worry, man. I still got your back!

Love,
Drew Rosenhaus

LOL. Always.

I was torn on this issue up until Q walked out on the Championship celebration and the Cards fans there celebrating this huge achievement . Cards may have promised him a new deal and offered something subpar...we do not know this. What we do know is that DR has done this with many of his clients to force the clubs hand in paying or dealing his client even though they are under contract. They did not have to give him a contract after his second year and he did not have to sign it. He could have just waited and got a much better deal. He took the new deal. There are 2 years on it. Yes you have played above it but you signed it. He now wants another do over. Get a good deal for him and send him out. Thanks for being a warrior and giving your all on the field. We will find another to match with the uncomparable Fitz and keep this train rolling

Gotta admit that this still bothers me a bit. If you love your teammates, celebrate with them. His excuse sounded a little too PR-ish.

Sorry to bring up the past.

Come on Jersey? If his teamates arent concerned about it why and the heck would you a fan be concerned?

Plus he was in the locker room and went around and congratulated the team before he left. They are good with it. Why cant you be?

Im sure the teammates were perturbed by the situation. They didn't want to stir the pot in the media. They know better and were trying to stay focused on the Superbowl.

Oh thats right You are "SURE" that the players are perturbed. I forgot you have the vibe of the team and the locker room. You cant take what any of them say at face value.

He should have been out there on the stand with the guys. He has been a major piece of the puzzle that got us to that championship and for him to flip the bird to the fans and walk out with his agent without so much as a Thank you for your support is incredulous and took something away from a great Cardinal team accomplishment. He should have hoisted that trophy and acknowledged the accomplishment. He can backpedal all he wants...that was classless and he deserves to be called on it whether he gives a crap or not. At the end of the day that moment was about the fans, his team , and a dreadful orginazation that had accomplished something no one thought possible. He made it about his own selfish interest and his fued over a contract he signed. I could see both sides had he not done that.

Shane, did you watch the NFL.com clip? Q does not want to be here. And I don't think the Cards want to spend money on Quan.

The best thing is to let him go make 8-10M elsewhere and get a draft pick or 2.

I'm pissed because I have two 81 jerseys that are going to be mothballed.

You make my point with this sentence. They were probably diffusing the situation so it didnt become a circus come media day, which of course it did. I find it hard to fathom that not one of the 52 other players or handful of coaches were upset with Q for bolting after the NFC championship game ended. Its not like he had anywhere else to be. He left like he had a flight to catch!! Come on Shane, I know you want to hold on to Q like the rest of us, but the man has made his stance clear: "get me the hell out of Dodge."

Again, we only know what we are told or what we see. None of us can really know what that situation really was.

I can be concerned because it bothered me. I thought it was wrong. I thought it was bad form. Had it happened without all the other stuff that was going on, then, yeah, I wouldn't have had a problem with it. I thought his "I didn't want it to be an issue" excuse was the best PR one that DR could come up with at the time.

But, again, we only know what we see or what we are told.

I know you will hate me for this, but your Boldin love is bordering on Tango's love for Jake.

Ive seen every clip. You are making quite a leap in faith right there. Did you read the article on Yahoo? Or Urbans blog today about the loss of Haley and Q talks about it in the context that he will be here next year etc.... You all see what you want to see. What Q wants is money. If the Cards ante it up he will want to be here.

Disagree. His statement is "pay me or get me the hell out of dodge" fences can always be mended. The team did slight him with their last offer that cant be denied IMHO.

I don't have any venom. Sports is a fun distraction, not my life.

I don't hate the guy. I wish things could be worked out. I don't think they can. And, yes, I am disappointed that it has come to this. That's all.

Yes they can be mended, but if he truly thinks the FO slighted him and that was a personal attack on his pride, thats another story.

I would like to see his true colors when/if the Cards money whip him. I just hope he is not asking for Fitz type money, because he isn't going to get it.

Agree completely. He has earned it and needs a much bigger contract.

With our WR depth and record without him I don't think we should be paying him insanelly. There are many more teams out there desperate for WR.

There are more things this club has to deal with than just Q. Q bitched in the spring. Q didn't attend the volunteer workouts. Q then stated he would play out his contract and never sign a new one with the Cards. Q is the center of distraction during our NFC clinching drive. Q walks out of the NFC post game celebration. Q states at the pro bowl the fences can not be mended with the organization and then mucks it up on tv with a rival player.

Do you see a pattern here?

Warner, Dansby, Wilson, Arrington, Dockett and others all need to be dealt with in this off season. If we can retain all of them we will have done well. The good thing about our situation with Q is that we will get some kind of compensation should we end up dealing him.

It is and always will be about making the team better.

But it's not about money according to him. Anyways with what Burress pulled in last yr. , does anyone think Rosenhaus will let him sign for less than 10M?

Plax contract was pretty weak. He only got a 4 mill signing bonus, and 100k bonus for each game he played in, and extra bonuses for showing up to practices including voluntary ones. Total value 5 years 28 mill.

If that is what Boldin is looking for then we should have a done deal yesterday.

When Plax signed that deal, Rosenscum immediately put out a release that told the Cardinals not to expect Boldin to sign this kind of deal.

He doesnt talk like that at all. He states exactly how he feels and exactly when he felt lied to. He doesnt say it in the context as it has ALWAYS been that way.

I've seen this BS in my business.

People ALWAYS remember hearing what justifies their current position. Had a good friend, worked for me through 2 companies then as a partner in a 3rd, in the end he left PO'd, same thing he remembered what he wanted to remember.
