I never said Pace wouldn't get a big pay day but he sure wasn't missed.

Everyone on here but ME said Pace sucked. You surely didn't support him. I was harassed the entire offseason for not being a sheep and hating on the guy.

Do you think the Cardinals Defense has improved this offseason?
We lost Dansby, B Berry, A Rolle on Defense. We gained K Rhodes and J Porter. I think the Defense will be improved.
Can't really give an educated answer at this point. As the team stands now, we are worse due to the HUGE hole at ILB. If we address ILB and get a decent true nose tackle (i.e. not Robinson), I think we could be improved. I am just glad we have some sort of attitude at linebacker now.
95% of them have picked the Seahawks and 49ers to win the division the last two years. 95% of them picked us to lose the Atlanta playoff game, then 100% of them picked us to lose the Carolina game. Then 95% (everyone but Bradshaw) picked us to lose against the Eagles. 95% of the anaylists are bumbling idiots and you would agree to that 95% of the time just as long as they were'nt supporting your man-crush that is Dansby.
Ironic coming from you. You should go back and read the posts from 2008 when it came out that Pace was leaving.
Many posters wrote the same type thing to you when you defended Pace. In fact the threads are very similar to the ones about Dansby.
You even posted, when it was rumored that Pace had signed with Miami, that someone was way off base to think that Rod Graves knew more than Bill Parcells.
Even more ironic is that Buckybird was one of the few people who agreed with you that letting Pace go was a mistake.
I thought losing Pace was no big deal but that losing Dansby is. Maybe i'll be wrong again. Of course we could have kept them both, but..............
Prior to Pace's good year when most of you wanted to cut him, especially follwoing his mysterious accident, I was one of the very very few who maintained his best football was ahead of him. This is why I think you should think twice before you throw a young player under the bus. You never know when the "light goes on."
yes we were
And we were right. Because Pace wasn't very good as a 4-3 DE. But once the Cards decided they wanted to switch to the 3-4 it was a different story. In fact I thought it strange that the Cards couldn't make the complete switch to the 3-4 in 2007 because they didn't have the personnel and then they let a prototype 3-4 olb leave in free agency the next spring.
Our OLB's were good enough to get us to a superbowl without Pace, so I think we were fine without him. I don't think Porter is guaranteed anywhere near the same amount that Pace was, from what I remember. The same will hold true with Rolle and Dansby, the production does not amount to the money they were overpaid.
That's pure wishful thinking. Just like we all knew that Michael Adams was going to be the savior in the GB playoff game, right?
Yep & Pace brings the total package something that Porter doesn't at this stage of his career. Duck I hope like hell we can get a ILB in here to do what Dansby did, but it isn't gonna be easy. Weatherspoon most likely will be gone & I don't feel Washington is as good but could be. I have a feeling this thread will be addressed next year. Same time, same bat channel
It was Dansby who was the savior in the GB game. If he doesn't block Rodgers throwing lane Adams never causes the fumble because the ball is gone. In fact without Dansby's great plays GB wins that game going away.
And I guarantee you that Pace would have made a difference in the SB and even moreso last season.
Guys, apparently Rolando McClain is doing some serious dropping since he could not finish his pro day workout. Now, I'm not saying he will drop all the way to us, (that would be sweet), but that might just let us see Weatherspoon on the board at our pick. Food for thought.
