The only time EVER I've been happy to watch the Patriots win.

I still like me some Joe Montana (I believe the dude beat the Niners in head to head when he was old and a Chief), but anyone who hates on Brady is just jealous!

Agreed. Like them or not the Pats show you what can be accomplished with a great QB and coach.

Now I csn go back to rooting against both teams.

Montana was great, maybe No. 2 now :)

Brady (for the most part) has done a lot more with less talent around him than Montana.

I think Brady is now the GOAT.

Brady now has equaled Montana with four Lombardi Trophies and three Super Bowl MVPs.

He stands alone with 13 Super Bowl touchdown passes.

He was 37 for 50 for 328 yards against the NFL's top-ranked defense.

Brady's certainly led a charmed career, I'll give him that.

No way do I put him ahead of Montana though. If Montana had played with the same flag football rules, he wouldn't have been as beat up and would have dominated even more than he did. 4-0 in the Super Bowl, 11TD/0INT. That's far better than Brady's numbers and Montana won a SB before Rice ever came along. Throw in the caught cheating and suspected cheating and I think it's still an easy choice saying Montana's the king.

Well at least he won this one... Vinateri won the others with his leg if I recall correctly

Who drove them into position with the game on the line to get the FG's?

I don't care they still don't win without vinateri being the best kicker in the league at the time period!

Or without the benefit of things like the tuck rule.

That's why I can't get too excited about Brady overall. I mean, when you think of Montana you think of a play like "the Catch". Actually making a play to beat the better team. With Brady, does he really have any signature moments like that? When I think of the Patriots I think of all of the other things.

SB XXXVI was a joke in terms of the officiating. Allowing the defense to hold the Rams receivers, intentional grounding not being called, letting time run off the clock so the Rams wouldn't get the ball back...just a poor effort by that crew.

Against the Eagles the Patriots got to face McNabb when he was sick and TO wasn't 100%.

Even today. Instead of facing the Seahawks at full strength, everyone in their defensive backfield was playing hurt. And for all intents and purposes, the Patriots shouldn't have won. They did win but my point is, I don't think of Brady making those big plays in the Patriots win and even in the Patriots losses, it was other teams making the memorable plays.

Then you have the dramatic drop in production in the postseason for Brady. The great one's, IMO, elevate their play in crunch time. Montana's numbers got better in the post season. Warner's too. Brady's don't.

Timeout D?

Anyone else dumbfounded Beliichick didn't call a TO at any point in that final Seahawks drive? It looked for certain they would score. Why not give Brady a chance to get it midfield for a FG? Struck me as odd considering the circumstances.

Joe had Rice, Brady made his receivers.

Brady's numbers are pretty good when it comes to the SB. Winning 4 out of 6 means he is doing something right.

Brady is the best I've ever seen.

He's done more with less than any QB in history IMO. 4 world championships and 6 Super Bowl appearances are really all you need to know.

To me though it's the 14 straight winning seasons. AND the 12 straight 10+ win seasons. (By the way currently on a tear of 5 straight 12 win seasons and 4 straight conference championship games) 1 undefeated regular season. Really take a moment and let all that sink in. It's ridiculous. (Ok, yes he did miss one of those seasons recovering from an ACL, but to me coming back from that and not missing a beat bolsters his profile even more)

BB is also an all time great but he is a defensive mind first and foremost.

People around here are losing their minds about 2 straight 10+ win seasons yet not giving a guy like Brady his proper due.

Best I've ever seen.
