Hugh? Brady may be the best QB in history (debateable) and have nerves of steel, but what does that have to do with deflategate? Just because he may be the best doesn't mean the rules don't apply to him or that he wasn't cheating.

Wow, hate much? Do you think they're the only team who's ever done this? Fred Biletnikoff is looked at as one of the best possession WR's in history(hall of famer) and he played with about 5 pounds of stickum on his hands. Yes it was legal then but it doesn't mean that it was ethical to paint the stuff on like it was house paint. And do you honestly believe that the AFC title game outcome would have been different? Brady could have played with a wet sponge and spanked Indy. Not to mention that the deflated balls haven't been linked to him(yet) so unless you have some evidence the league office doesn't have you better get it to them quick.

But then there WAS:

Plowing the snow off the field for a field goal attempt when it was not offered to the opponent.

Are you seriously bringing this up? Tom Brady was 5 years old and 18 years away from lacing it up when that happened. How do you put the onus on him with that?

He's not talking about Tom Brady. He's talking about the Patriots organization as a whole.

I think people are ignoring all the 2007 and since then fumble data that suggests the reason the Pats are underinflating balls is they think it helps them not fumble.

So yes it didn't determine the outcome against the Colts, but they might not have even got there if they hadn't been doing it all year(for years) and might have lost a couple of key fumbles.

We have no way of knowing, but statistically their fumble stats are off the charts outliers.

Maybe they are like Lance Armstrong dominating a sport that everyone but him is cheating in , oops, that didn't turn out to be true.

The question really is are they getting an advantage, the fumble stats suggest they are.

First of all what proof is there that they have bee underinflating the footballs since 2007? This would have come up a long time ago.

Then they play the entire Super Bowl against the hard hitting Seawhawks and have zero fumbles.

Oh yeah, Brady has a great game too.

Not a NE fan, but not a hater either.

I'm guessing you're talking about the Warren Sharp analysis. If so, there were some serious issues with his analysis, and rebuttals were quickly done by people in that line of work.

No. His legacy would be intact had the Patriots lost on Sunday. The man took his team to the Super Bowl 6 times and to the conference championship 9 times in his career. Even Montana doesn't sniff that level of success.

Montana has sniffed plenty of success and that is during a time in the NFC when the Bears, Giants, Redskins all had elite teams. It might not be more impressive but it's equally impressive to me.

Montana was way better he dragged a largely offensively challenged Chiefs team to the conference championship game in Buffalo and only the cold and Kimble Anders kept him from getting in and likely winning his 5th SB one being with the Chiefs.

I saw him play he was better, he beat John Elway and the Broncos in Denver for gosh's sake pulled a comeback on him in the snow at Mile High stadium, folks it's not even close and the only reason people think it is, is because as things age into the past people forget.

This is like the Lebron vs Jordan thing, come on.

Obviously anyone saying Lebron is better never really saw Jordan play.
