I saw him get in for short yardage offense. Other than that, he sat on the top part of the bench all game. This is another bad personnel decision by the staff. There's no way the guy went from being the team's best OL to not even playing and unable to unseat Hadnot in one off season. I'll give Lutui credit, he was always supporting his teammates when they came to the bench and didn't seem to be sulking at all. I still think the OL could be much improved next year by drafting Kalil, moving Levi back to RT and inserting Deuce back into his RG position. Kalil, Colledge, Sendlein, Lutui, and Brown would not be a bad OL. Too bad we'll probably have Riley Reif, or whatever the kid's name from Iowa is, Colledge, Sendlein, Hadnot, and Keith manning the OL.

He is in Whiz's permanent doghouse. Especially when he went and tried to get signed somewhere else.

It seems that way but doesn't make sense. Why re-sign him only to not play him? I figured the Cards would be getting a bargain by having Lutui back and starting for 400,000.

For all of the complaining that people do about why Lutui isn't playing, the interior three have played pretty good.

Yeah, good enough to be 1-5.

Can't wait until they rearrange the offensive line again next season.

Well Deuce is said to be a good athlete, we know he is a competitor and he has the "mean streak" always referred to with OL...He CAN NOT BE WORSE THAN KEITH or LEVI at OT... try him...could it really be worse?

That isn't what I'm talking about though. I am addressing how many are complaining that Lutui isn't playing instead of Hadnot when the play of our interior three OLinemen (LG, C, RG) are one of the brighter spots on this team.

Does this team do anything that makes sense? We faked an onside kick last week for cripes sake.

But shouldn't the best players play? Lutui has proven throughout his career to be a better player than Hadnot, and it really hasn't even been that close. Are we to believe Hadnot miraculously improved with no off season and Lutui got worse? Sure Lutui came in heavy, but he has done so every year and played at a pretty high level.
To me, that's kind of like saying Paris Lenon is playing OK because he led the team in tackles and not the problem. Thereby, not pusuing a better player.

Well then we need to figure out how to get Sendlein and Colledge out of there too.

The middle of the line is not a bright spot. Hadnot, Sendlein and Colledge are blowing plays just like the rest of the team.

How you get we should cut them all or that they are solely responsible for the 1-5 record from that I don't know. But it is a fairly typical defensive response.

Thats where you get "When you are 1-5 NOBODY is playing pretty or good."

Translated to: "We need get Sendlein and Colledge out"

"Yeah, good enough to be 1-5." translated to "Rex Hadnot is the only reason the Cards are 1-5."

Sure the better players should play. I'm just not so sure that Lutui is absolutely better than Hadnot right now. When he hasn't been injured, Beanie has been getting yards rushing. The breakdown in our pass protection has been defenders coming off of the edges. When you are 1-5, that is at everyone's feet but we still need to identify what has been working better than other things. If we can improve by putting in Lutui then do it but I don't think that is as obvious as many are making it out to be.

Last year, when we did run, we ran to the right behind Lutui. This year we have trouble running to the right and almost all our running gains have come over the left edge and Levi Brown. 'nuff said.

Another reason why Levi should have been kept at RT. Him and Lutui would be a very good run blocking combo. I still say they should re-structure Levi and move him back to RT. Then draft a LT and the OL should be much improved.

The Vikings are 1-6 and Adrian Peterson leagues the lead in both rushing yards and rush TDs.

So what? He's obviously not playing well enough for his team to win any games unless they play the Cardinals.

Maybe they don't think he's in shape yet?

Funny huh? Yet we have had Jim Dray on the roster all year and has been listed as "out" all season.

Of course if the Cards had placed him on IR we would have had to add someone to the roster. Of course with this stellar roster it would probably hard for the front office to find a player that would actually contribute.
