He had to wait until he went to Seattle where it rains every day. They couldn't grow enough vegetables in Arizona's dry climate for him to do a Vegan diet.

Well done.

He can make a horse pen, and have L.Davis go raise horses on his farm.

Deuce is a good man, his frame allowed for alot of weight, I'm trying not to hate on Whiz, but this could have gone differently with Deuce and Alan Branch, Marshall, Watson, Q, Kurt, Dansby, Rolle, R Wells, Edge, ect..... you know- DIFFERENTLY......

We really need to beat Seattle, Rams and Niners,

If he sticks to it he will shed some serious poundage. Mucho Vegans in the hippie circles, and they always have these annoying potlucks. You can spot the vegan midgets rather quickly, just look for the super skinny undergrown ones...poor little bastards. Usually named after trees, colors, or musicians they are not related to.

So whenever we get invited to these potlucks, I come strapped with bags of dollar burgers to feed these protien deprived munchkins. Funniest part is I grab the burgers from places the parents really hate on, like McDonalds. And they are so pro-choice and pro-experience and so afraid to tell their kid not to do anything while all the other parents are there....they just let it happen. :D I do it for the kids.

So they all look like you??? ;)

+1.

They move slow, think slower, and give pot a bad name for it.

The effects that an all vegie diet has on human beings is frightening.

I miss Deuces spirit too, Whiz kikcks dirt on him, Carrol kicks praise, We'll see who gets the most out of the Deucemeister with the one keg abs, and Alan Branch.

Carroll also coached Lutui at USC, before the Tongan-born lineman was selected in the second round of the 2006 NFL Draft by the Cardinals.
“Deuce Lutui, he is a joy to have out here,” Carroll said. “He has got such a great spirit. He always did. We looked at opportunities to get him on this club just because of that. He looks good. His weight is down – I mean, way down from where he can be. He’s a vegan, too, now, so he has really made a big turn, if you can imagine, yes.”
Added Lutui, “It’s beautiful, and it’s true. I’ve gone vegan.”

I'm not sure a diet like this will work.

You know what they say, "What goes into vegans, stays on vegans."

I think I would rather have a morbidly obese lineman than a vegan one. Nothing against vegans, just if I am looking for a fat man to provide leverage against another fat man I'll pick the one eating burgers and steaks over the one eating soy and nuts.

So he has lost weight and now is motivated? Why not when he played for us?

Deuce Lutui’s vegan diet led to serious weight loss and another NFL chance

On Tuesday, Lutui told ESPN.com that his new diet allowed him to come in for first practices at his preferred weight of 340 pounds -- in the past, that had been a bit of a struggle.

"A lot of people wouldn't call it vegan, but as the vegan concept goes, it is something I eat pretty much vegan throughout the week," Lutui said on Tuesday."I've been at this for four months, and so I've lost tremendous weight. ... It has always been a part of me to play big. I had to humble myself to see what coaches are seeing out there."

As a result of his revelation, Lutui changed his dietary habits to include a lot of fruit, salads, beans and brown rice. The Seahawks have it in Lutui's contract that he can't play for them if he's over 350 pounds at any given time.

"He is the only coach in the NFL who really knows who Deuce Lutui is," the big Tongan told ESPN. "I came at him at 396 [in college], but he has really honored me for my strengths and I'm going to honor him by playing at a weight that is under the radar.

"I am stepping into my prime. I haven't even yet scratched the surface of that. I am so optimistic about this year as far as my training has been. I can't wait to prove to this organization who I am and who they are getting."

Stereotype much?

All the time.

There are stereotypes for a reason.

I have had numerous, that means over 15, friends, family and acquaintances become vegitarians. I would say 5 still are, btw, and good for them. Yet, I calls em likes I sees em. That is how they act, and there is a big difference between how they act & look when on all vegie diet, and when they are not. Just sayin' not hatin'.

As for the Futurama pics, they are what they are, pics from a TV show.

If you don't like it, sorry to offend. Not saying there is anything wrong with the situation, just stating what I see happen over and over and over and over again in my life's experience.

But remember it could be worse. You could be an Italian from NJ:

Lutui must have lost his mind, cause this is ALL WHIZ'S FAULT. The tyrant that he is.

I was at the Rainbow people festival near Canero Lake in the White Mountains, I think it was 1998, I was a reporter for the local newspaper. I interviewed a local WM Apache Elder with some native medicinal teachings. Some Vegans told him how eating meat was murder.

He said that He believed we are what we eat, and that whatever we eat shares it's attributes and powers with a man after digestion and before defication. He said he did not want to fight a bear with only a rutabaga coursing through his veins!

I tend to agree, Now one of my favorite moments from the Cardinal championship team was when Deuce pissed off that Bear defensive lineman, He held Deuce down and punched Deuce in the helmut! Deuce just laughed and laughed at that angy ole Bear got tossed from the game.

I like me some Deuce Lutui ( but not against the CARDS) Now I don't think Graves, Whiz or this staff get the most from their players. They play cut throat on contracts unless Our Cardinals are probowl, They never let off the gas, destroy players reputation and marketability in the press, and then step on their throat and cut them if players do the same in the press.

We never had a drafted Cardinal resigned long term in Whiz's first 5 years, We went to our first SB and another playoff, and no 2nd tier player was worth signing! When we did finally sign a drafted Cardinal Player - it was Fitz- DD early and AW!

Patrick Deuce and Lyle were offered minimal tenders, R Wells was cut, Antonio Smith leftand we NEEDED Mcfadden, Porter and Faneca? I suggested a contract with work out and weight incentives at the time- MANY BLASTED ME!

Well watch how this works out for our division rivals with Branch and the Deucemeister. That quote from Deuce shows it front and center! Mind you Deuce was quiet and had no contract when Whiz blistered him in the press.
