Bruney and Lopez get out of the inning without giving up a run. 2-2 bottom of the 8th.

Tony Clark does it again with an RBI single with 2 out.

I wonder where he found the fountain of youth. This guy has been unreal

Nice job D-Backs after yesterdays Hard loss! This is a team that's gonna be in it this yr.

We need to plug in Clarke at 1st somehow. Split time with Tracey at least.

that was a fun game ... was the first time I was able to drag my fiance to BOB and the first time she's seen a MLB game outside of the metrodome (so i guess that makes it outside in general)

later this month she is taking her student council kids on a tour of the stadium before they get to settle into the dodgers game (and poor me gets to chaperone.......)

hopefully I can develop a baseball fan this month .. although I claim allegiance to the Marlins and she claims Twins loyalty ... at least get her to the stadium once a month because in a stadium is a good place to be

i like the d-backs this year ... not really deep ... but should be competative

That's been done, to a degree. Tony Clark has been the platoon 1B, starting against lefties . . . leaving him to be our #1 pinch hitter the rest of the time.

It's a touchy situation, but I'd rather see him as our everyday 1B. He appears to be more of a threat with runners on base than Glaus or Green.

His being in the lineup would give protection to our other sluggers. I'd even like to see him hitting 5th behind Gonzo and Glaus and ahead of Green.

But I don't think that's going to happen -- unless Tracy's batting average continues to spiral downward.

Clark is the Carlos Baerga for 2005. Can't forget the season he had in 2002.

Give credit to Glaus for his slide into 2nd base causing the bad throw. This was my key play as it allowed the Dbacks to take the lead.

At work, see the Diamondbacks scored all 4 runs with two outs. 4-1 Diamondbacks in the 6th. Does anyone know why Glaus is not playing? His replacement, Cintron, got a rbi single.

Diamondbacks win 6-2 and take the series. What a lift if Papa Grande can stay healthy. He hit 96 on his fastball.
