And just like you didn't say it wasn't, I didn't say say there was a "guarantee" CKW's job was in jeopardy either.:mulli:
It was and it is probably still in jeopardy. The offense today was only bad, not all time bad so I guess there's something there. This win shouldn't mask our offensive struggles one bit. Mikey came out and said 58-0 was unacceptable and that every thing and everyone would be evaluated...so that's jeopardy. Whiz's job this season, however, is not in jeopardy according to Mikey.

Carry on. :D

This game is a good indication that this team has NOT quit on Whisenhunt. The final score does surprise me, but the fact that we played our heart out doesn't. The Whiz naysayers will spin it their way, but this franchise would be utterly moronic to fire Whiz.

There was a little interaction between Whis and Mike Bidwill that I think said a lot. As they are leaving the field at the end of the first half, Bidwill comes up to Whis, pats him on the back and claps. To me, it was like he was encouraging Whisenhunt.

It definitely was not the way I think he would've acted if the decision to fire Whisenhunt had been made.

No. One game does not loose a job or keep a job. Not after that loosing streak. Michael was walking next to Whiz when they left the field at halftime. IMHO that was a statement. I've never noticed Michael doing that before. Has anyone else?

All the Whiz haters may be real unhappy next year.

Yeah we can't lose that killer offense Whiz brings, that would be moronic. At least they earned 3 points today, that makes 3 points total for the last 2 games.

11 quarters without a TD, moronic.

Lindley got the win today, but did he? Be careful with that answer, it could be considered by some to be...

Remember, Miller was Whiz's hand-picked candidate.

He deserves credit for Horton, but for Miller as well.

Can we at least all agree on Grimm and Miller being fired?

I think Whiz may be retained but may be forced to fire some assistants. $5.5 mil is still a lot dough. But you never know.

It is a lot of money. But unlike what La Confora said it is not out of character for the Cards to take a financial hit to pay change a HC.

Green was fired on Monday, one day after the Cardinals concluded a 5-11 season with a 27-20 loss at San Diego. He finished with a 16-32 record at Arizona. The Cardinals will pay $2.5 million to buy out the final year of his contract.

McGinnis was also fired with a year left on his contract and Tobin with 9 games left.

Ryan had two years left on his contract.

Not always.

Arizona Cardinals coach Buddy Ryan, whose team wrapped up a miserable 4-12 season with a 37-13 loss to the Dallas Cowboys on Monday night, was fired Tuesday by owner Bill Bidwill.
Bidwill said he hadn't thought about dismissing Ryan until he watched the Cardinals come out flat against their NFC East rival.

Head honcho is responsable for this debacle.

Worst O-line for 3 years. That's on Grimm and Whiz.

19 QBs in the last 3 years, Whiz and whatever goat he calls his OC that year.

6-7-8-9 game losing streaks...all Whiz.

I get your point, but he doesn't get any, and it's hard to win with no points.

58-0, 9 losses in a row, Whiz has to go, yo.

Utterly moronic? Give me a ****ing break. They are the first team in history to lose 9 games in a row after winning 4 straight. That is an NFL RECORD and not a good one. You honestly think they would be MORONIC for firing him? Get the hell outta here.

The Bears and 49ers are both very good teams who should have plenty to play for, and I'm very curious if we'll look more like we did against Seattle or against Detroit against those two.. I'm going to watch these last two games with great interest before making any definitive judgements on what should be done after the season.

I definitely think we need some pretty significant changes made after the season, but just how significant depends in part on how we look these last two games (to me, at least).

There has been myriad coaches fired after receiving vote of confidence from owners.

It's one thing to say something for the papers, another to physically congratulate and/or encourage a coach on the sidelines during the game.

If he had decided to fire Whisenhunt, I think he's up in the box not on the field in the first half.

True. And I don't think Michael is the kind of guy who does that. From what I've observed he's not the type. Just my humble opinion. (Which, let's face it, is all any of us have because none of us are sitting in his office tossing a ball back and forth with him listening to him tell us his plans for the future. Or what his dad thinks. ;))

I will be okay with keeping Whis. But need to fire Grimm and Graves. Then promote Horton to Asst. HC. I will be okay with this.

Well we won more late last year- I don't think this changes the downward direction of the team- it is encouraging to stop the bleeding.

I like continuity as a rule- but think Whiz and Graves have poor insight, poor vision and make poor decisions. I don't blame it all on no QB or oline - but those are their babys,

Mike Millers play calling was 21 passes to 29 runs - even Lindley at 14-21 at 104 yards didn't kill the defenses efforts like usual- Like when he threw 52 times in his firat rookie start.

Whiz- Miller- Grimm should not be forced into running the ball they should enjoy running the damned ball - setting up their oline and every QB and Elite reciever for success game in and game out.

Yes, it would be moronic!! Do you really think this team would have lost 9 in a row had they been healthy? What can be expected when you you're playing 2 rookie tackles, a 5th round qb out of Fordham, a 6th round rookie qb & you lose BOTH running backs for the brunt of the season. Even with ABSOLUTELY NO OFFENSE WHATSOEVER, this team was competitive until a freakish game last week. By the looks of it, Seattle may score 50 points every week! Every time this team's heart is questioned, Whiz has them up the following week. This team has not quit on their leader, nor will they.

The offense is beyond putrid. He should be fired on that alone. There is no one left to scapegoat. These are his guys.

Yup, no more Whizcuses and no more Whiz. Let's get the offense productive while the defense is still stellar, and make a freakin run. This offense isn't sucking because of injuries, it's sucked since Warner left. That doesn't mean we should keep Whiz, because we'll never get a Warner again. And Whiz's offenses don't produce points when Whiz picks the QB to run Whiz's offense. It's got Whiz's name all over it. :D

are you ever going to answer me when I ask you how could a team depend on those two running backs that are always injured... name that 5th round qb out of Fordham it's STARTER... or depend on another QB who's ALWAYS injured and go into the season one injury away from having to start TWO rookie tackles?

you act as if the above was no fault whatsoever of Wiz's. He BUILT this roster.

WIZ depended on two running backs who's bodies have been held together by duct-tape their entire careers.

WIZ NAMED the 5th round QB from Fordham his starter.

WIZ did NOTHING to go out and get a starting RT after letting go of the worst RT in the league last year which meant the fourth round rookie would be FORCED to start.

WIZ built this monstrocity this season. Anyone with any kind of foresight could have foreseen Beanie and Williams getting hurt... Skelton sucking... Kolb getting hurt. You know why? It didn't take a crystal ball. It's because we've seen ALL of that happen MULTIPLE times.

If you choose to ignore history, you're doomed to repeat and THAT'S what's doomed Wiz and the season.
