Don't get me wrong ... I would've loved to have seen Hartwell in Cardinal Red but considering how he and his agent have been doing things I fully understand why they had to move on.

His agent said, "We think he will make a decision in 48 hours." However 2 WEEKS later he still hasn't made up his damn mind. Edge is getting some really bad advice from his agent IMO

The contract offers are probably lower than what the cards offered by now.

Yeah I would of waited.. I doubt Huff will make too much of a difference anyways...hell I would put in a bid right now..we should still have enough room for everybody...

I think the Browns are also interested and are planning to run a 3-4 defense which is what the Ravens had. Hartwell would do well there.

I think you keep the offer out to Hartwell. If the takes it, great, you can still cut Huff or Thompson or whomever.

If Hartwell actually wanted to be here he would've signed a few days after his visit just like Okeafor did. It seems to me that the Cards will no longer be used as leverage by guys to get bigger deals elsewhere. And, I'm glad of it. This guy really reminds me of Holliday. I'll take Huff, thank you.

I don't know if the issue is whether Hartwell wants to be in Arizona or that he wants some specified amount of money -- like what the Greenwood guy got from the Texas. $10M signing bonus, plus $XM a year salary.

Hartwell seems like he was looking for a number and he's interested in playing anywhere where they will pay that number. Based on his stupid decisions this far, he doesn't seem to have some larger master plan.

Absolutely
Denny is not playing games with free agents. They rolled out the red carpet for these guys and pulled the offers from the table for those guys that wanted to use the Cardinals.

Too bad the Cards couldnt have waited?!? I am much happier we got a player, rather than spending 2 weeks sitting on our hands for Hartwell to figure it out.

I heard Billick on Total Access last night say that they would like to keep Hartwell.

Adding Huff didn't change anything other than adding depth. Hartwell would have gone a long way in solving our run stopping issues. I am not happy.

Hayes/Huff is still an upgrade over McKinnon/Hayes IMO and we saved a lot of $ to hopefully extend Boldin or sign more FA's.

I wanted Hartwell too, but even if we had waited there is no guarantee that he was coming here. He and his agent have been talking out of both sides of their mouths for weeks.

I'm 99% sure that's what is going to happen...

If Hartwell has any sense left, he'll sign a one-year deal with the Ravens and become a FA again next year. The kind of money he's been holding out for is gone. So he got two options. 1. Sign for less and become a joke (for turning down larger contracts earlier), 2. Sign a one-year deal and hope someone pay that kind of money next year.
