They seem pretty beat up on defense, but the Niners aren't exactly setting the world on fire either. Either way, I'll be holding my nose and rooting for Chicago on Thursday night. ;)

It will be interesting to see the media focus on Mike Singletary facing the team he played for. Go BEARS!!!

I think 49ers will win this one although I see CUller a better QB than Smith. Bears may have realized by now, they may not be able to get a wild card. On the other hand, 49ers still has even a slim chance to win NFC west.

It will be interesting to see how the Bears respond Thursday. It is a must win for them and I think Lovie is close to losing the team unless they have some success soon.

Will Tommie Harris be suspended for this game? If he plays their D is a completely different D. In the games he has played their D gives up 18 points. In the two games he doesnt play their D gives up over 40 points each and their D gets shredded in the air and on the ground.

Wait till MR. Pro Bowl DT. HARRIS gets to play on Thursday night as he did'nt get to play against us very long due to his stupid hit on Duece.

Harris is gonna be a man possessed but the bears have'nt been good on the road this year. The 9ers have'nt been good at home either. So it could be a very close game. Two awesome tightends going to battle.

I don't know if the 9ers can handle Cutler with the new injuries to their secondary they have suffered.Cutler is due to show the bears fans why they should be happy for next year.If the texans can beat the 9ers than the bears have just as good a shot.

Hester will be two weeks back from his sprained ankle and maybe able to work some magic on those whiners.Orlando Pace handled Calais' Campbell pretty well yesterday.Even though we had 4 sacks as the Browns did a week earlier on the bears. The whiners are desperate with 4 straight loses.

Especially since last week coach Singletary stood up in front of the microphone and said the 9ers would WIN the division THIS YEAR.Smith the 9ers qb could pick 6 the 9ers right out of the race.Pace can handle Justin smith. Can they handle Sopoaga?

I know all the world thinks the 49'ers are a great team --

but they beat us opening weekend, and since then have managed to defeat the Rams and the Seahawks. I think the Bears have a at least as good a chance to win that game as the 49'ers.

Short week with a long road trip for Chicago, amounts to an almost guaranteed loss for the Bears and then it works out like a bye week for the Niners. I love Thursday night football just because I hate having to wait until Sunday but its a bad deal for the road team.

+1. I love the NFL every day of the week but only want my Cards playing on Sundays. I don't even like MNF because it gives us a shorter week.

Love those unis. Unfortunately, I got to watch them the entire second half.

Where I live, they changed the Fox game in the middle of the 3rd quarter from the Cards-Bears to the Pack-Creamsicles. I had taped the game. I have Sunday ticket, but the game was blacked out on the Sunday Ticket channels due to being on Fox. If the game hadn't been on Fox, I would have been taping on the Sunday Ticket channels, and would have seen the whole game.

Don't think they are better, it is just difficult to have a short week then have to travel half way across the country to play. See the Cardinals last year at Philly on Thanksgiving night.

good point. I just see Smith turning it over to the Bears too much. Smith is gonna seem like Ryan Leaf after facing Warner.

Why the Niners will dominate:

Our running game gashed the Bears. What will Gore do?
2 TE's caught touchdown passes. What will Davis do?
Their #1 CB (injury), #1 pass rusher (suspension), and #1 SS (injury) will likely all be sitting out. What will Crabtree do?

The Bears go cross-country on a really short week. Due to travel, the Niners will get almost a full day's worth of planning more than the Bears.

The Bears are no good on the road. Their success so far has been at home.

The Cards physically and mentally destroyed the Bears.

Why the Bears will bounch back:

Alex Smith is starting for SF.

Go Bears!!!! We are behind you. You need this game. Look in the mirror and get focused. So you lost to the Cards. You could have won( not) you have great players and some that are good players. Remember the whole state of Arizona is going to root for you this Thursday.

Whichever team goes back to their roots first will win this game.

Both teams have tried to turn their lunchbucket mentality into a high potent offense. Neither have the personel to be that type of team. The Bears need to be patient, play it close to the vest, play the run on defense.....and wait for Alex Smith to make a mistake. Do those things and the Bears not only can win, they WILL win.

Just a heads up for the next time, whenever the network game gets switched, DirecTV immediately opens up the Sunday Ticket channel for the game that was switched, so you'll never miss anything if you know to just change the channel.

Of course, this wouldn't have helped you if you were gone and were recording the game, unless you thought to record both channels.

Any other game I'd say, yeah, suspend the bum... but not against 9ers... I hope he plays.

Go to channel 1005 on Directv and pick the Cardinals shortcut. You can watch the entire game in 30 minutes.

The Bears have a chance, but I would call it a slim chance. This game is actually a very big game for both teams, virtually any chance of making the playoffs hindges on a victory. I will definately be cheering for da Bears in this one.

i don't why the Bears have refused to feature Forte this year. They want to showcase Cutler for some reason. There's two problems with that. Cutler is a mediocre QB and it's hard to make the passing game your main focus when Devin Hester is your best WR. That beng said, i like the Bears in this game because it's hard to in your a 1 dimensional team and that's what SF is.The only thing they have going for them is that it's a home game.

Exact same happened to me. Sent out angry e-mails to Sunday Ticket & Fox.
