I'm disgusted as many, called it early in the preseason. How do you pin point a coordinator or a unit or a player when they al are fighting with heart and soul to be the worse in the NFL.

horrible personell decisions, game plans, schemes and playcalling on all sides of the ball. points to Whisenhunt not having them ready to play water ballet much less NFL football.

yep its a marathon not a sprint we have 5 games left and I can't stomach watching a single 2010 game on DVR.

We need to see what Johns got? otherwise we only have the lockout to look forward too!

Only 5 games left, I imagine DA and Hall have shown all they will show. DA is who he is.
Hall, I doubt we see him unless DA gets hurt. It will be interesting to see who Whiz puts in during the 4th quarter garbage times, (assuming Whiz realizes were not still in the game :D) Skelton is the only QB who hasn't blown his shot on this team yet.

grade

ASU CHRIS, It doesn't look good on you or our college. why don't you develope an opinion with depth and weight, reason and character I suggest you use the cardinal virtues as a base philosphy.

I don't mind being wrong but I don't like being dog piled for the sport of it. please reach down and grab a handful and lay it out on the table. I don't want to spend my time reading others that parasite off the blood of others efforts, please get a grip and do something for yourself instead of posting at others expense.

Prudence - able to judge between actions with regard to appropriate actions at a given time
  • Justice - proper moderation between self-interest and the rights and needs of others
  • Restraint or Temperance - practicing self-control, abstention, and moderation
  • Courage or Fortitude - forbearance, endurance, and ability to confront fear and uncertainty, or intimidation

I'm not intimidated, I won't be bullied and I won't be laid a hand on.

ESPN had John graded at a 50 out 100, I gave him a lil more because of Sports Science, the CBS evaluation below, and our staff thinking He was worth moving up in the draft for. We must of had him graded above anybody at any position left at the 24th pick of the 5th round.

Accuracy: Accurate enough to give his receiver a chance to make a play after the catch whether on a quick screen, out route, slant, fade or throw down the seam. Leads his man on slants and deep throws. Will aim the ball and feather it in instead of letting it loose.
Arm Strength: Throws 45-50-yard passes with little effort, but he rarely takes full advantage of his arm strength. Ball gets from hash to opposite sideline in a hurry when he steps into the throw. Good trajectory on deep passes, and the ball doesn't hang up. Inconsistent spiral, though the ball still has fair pace when it wobbles.
Setup/Release: Prototypical size and stands tall in the pocket. Waits patiently for routes to develop. Mostly in the shotgun when passing but will go under center on run plays and the occasional play-action. Release speed is not an issue whether in the pocket or on the run. Relies on his arm strength too much; will throw off back foot and into traffic. Throws from different arm angles and usually well-balanced. Could sell the ball fake more in play-action.
Reading Defenses: Knows the second and third progression, and is willing to throw underneath route if deep receiver is covered up. Will pick apart a defense if given time. Looks to the quick screen before checking out deep throw. Will not look off the safety or creeping corner consistently, resulting in interceptions. Trusts his receivers too much, throwing jump balls when unnecessary.
On the Move: Mobile for his size and able to throw accurately on the run in either direction. Squares his shoulders when throwing on the run. Will evade sacks from FCS defenders, but unclear whether he'll do so against better competition. Doesn't always get his eyes downfield when pressured in the pocket but does when outside. Mobility leads him to leave the pocket too quickly at times. Agile enough to get first downs when scrambling or running the read option, but not quick enough to run for more than a few yards and lacks elusiveness in the open field. Lowers his head for a first down if sideline isn't available and can slide if possible. Good size for the sneak. Intangibles: Two-year captain who leads his offense on and off the field. Quiet with the media but vocal on the field. Has the work ethic and intelligence to become an NFL starter.

I MUST KNOW!!! Did we potentially have two 90 out of 100 elite qb's in training camp?!?!

i have no idea what is happening here

Well if we are talking about Skelton, I have no problem at all with having him start a couple or all of the remaining games. It should only help in his development and give us an idea if he really can be a starter.

Color me shocked! I look to get expert analysis by one of the finest minds in talent evaluation (I have you rated a 90 out of 100, Kiper at a 78 out of 100, and Football Ousiders at a 62) and you accost me and my university!!! :(

sorry guys

I apoligise guys, I have always graded players and many popular fans have dogpiled on me over the years taking over gret topics with thesmel hating.

I have Matt leinart Graded as an elite 90 out 100 since coming out as the best college QB of all time. Kurt was better with different skill sets at 93 out of 100. Kurt regressed to even with matt at 90 after his immobile year in 2009 and that NO playoff death.

I refuse to change my grade until I See Matty fail on the field. My original assessment as a rookie breaking records with 2500 yards in 11 games projecting to over 4000 as a rookie in 16 games.

Matt had 2 TD's in the 1st 1/4 of each of his first 2 rookie starts. thats really impressive. 405 against the Vikings only rookie ever to hang 400 on anybody, Bradfords 300 yard gamed is being wowed now, Matty was better.

I mean before Whisenhunt, I think Whiz is wrong and should have built this team around Matt, not make Matt as a villian in the wrong system. Whiz had plenty of time just willed a crappy product on the field in 2010.

Matts grade went up to 91 after this preseason, can you imagine a QB that could go 19-24 with a 110+ QB rating on this dreadful team, thats what Whiz cut after the last preseason game, against this fans will and grades.

Matt will be the premium FA QB this offseason, we'll see what scout.com ranks him after his Houston contract ends this season.

I hate being right. this is the last piece of my grading system, Matt was #7 overall 5 star QB in 06, flip through the years to evaluate drafted and current free agent talent grades for a broad referance. Beanie was # 16 overall 5 star RB. As far as I'm concerned Whiz ruined them both by mishandling and putting them in positions to fail, to see how they respond!

Lets see how Whiz responds now, he could save it!

http://profootball.scout.com/a.z?s=127&p=9&c=12&nid=83&lnid=124&yr=2006

DA was ranked #5 as a 3 star FA QB. I'm now sure they were wrong about that one!

i have no idea what is happening here

never claimed

I have never claimed to be an expert, I'm a fan and plenty flawed. I went to ASU for awhile, NAU too.

so my grades are fun for me to develope, I have DA, Max and Skelton tied at 50, Skelton has the most upside or at least hasn't vomited on the field yet this year.

so where would you place em 1-100 using whatever magic 8 ball you use or whatever? Madden grades are 1-100 anybody got madden grades? i don't play it.

like that line did we?

Wouldn't it be the Cardinal way to pass on Luck because they like what they see in Skelton.

Here's an idea.

Stop telling us what you have someone "graded" at.

You have no credibility or resume to do so.

There might be a reason why you are the only one on this board to do so.

Think about it.

experienced

Max has more NFL experience and maturity than Skelton, no really. Whiz said He could ruin a young player (Skelton) after the game, duh blink blink, calculated response.

Don't give up your tickets man Josh is still out there, of course we could trade for a manning, brady or brees and ruin their careers.

I will give up my season tickets if they keep Max Hall as the #2 QB.

I thought about it

Its a free country, read what you want toss the rest back.

so where do you have our 3 QB's ranked at in active NFL QB's?

Do you think any of them would make any other team or a practice squad?

I really think your qualified to be a fan and answer that one!

If DA took that sports science test he would have thrown a laser that hit the legs of one of the sensors and broke it in half. Sports science then would have charged him for the equipment, Duece would say "it's gonna be okay buddy," he'd smile, they'd ask him if he thought it was funny that he broke their stuff and he'd say, "I don't think it's funny. I take this $%^& seriously! Ok. Ok. Ok. Ok. Ok. I can't do this I'm out." Or something like that.

I just raised your grade to 85 as a poster on ASFN. You remain a 95 as an Airborne qualified killing machine, however.
