Yes and it's because the Cards have leveled the playing field by getting the owner out of the way. Prior to that I would have said no shot.

I keep hearing how the kid is different. He is better than his dad but his results are no where near someone like Kraft. Some of the changes like a minimum team player payroll floor makes it impossible for an owner to engage in tactics his dad engaged in. If you look at that recent uncapped salary year the Big Red didnt spend anywhere near the previous cap number. Also the dad ran the team in the era before revenue sharing so he did not have the resources the kid does so that needs to be remembered by those of us who criticize Bidwill. I have already listed previously issues with how Warner was treated and QB acquisition issues so wont list again but please tell me what concrete results that the kid has achieved that shows you he has what it takes to make the Big Red a franchise like NE. That is what I want from an owner. I dont want just one Super Bowl win. The national audience was not impressed with what the Big Red did against Carolina and excuses doesnt mollify them. SEC TV/radio host Paul Finebaum lambasted that game as unwatchable. Is the idea that he is the right owner really a proven fact or is it that the alternative is unthinkable if you want to watch your local team? The results of this poll make me realize I am not alone in my doubts about this organization. I think if this question were asked about most teams the fans would be like yeah of course their team will win many Super Bowls.

I have a crush on teams that play in Feb on a regular basis. I have a crush on teams that dont make excuses as to why this year didnt work out and why next year will be the year. I have a crush on the Oakland Raiders of the 70s and 80s with their motto "Just Win, Baby". I can admire other teams without feeling that somehow I am cheating on the Big Red. I spent the 70s through 90s saying wait until next year. I dont know how many next years I have left. Why is it wrong for me to want the national media to refer to the Cardinals as a model organization? There are other examples besides NE that I can list if it will make you happy. Just tell me how many decades I have to wait for the Bidwill's to figure out how to create a model NFL organization. There are many good blue prints out there so they dont have to create a new one. You dont want to provide me some concrete evidence that the son is any more capable of making the Big Red an organization that plays in Feb? You just want to go on hope?

In the first playoff game NBC did this season following the Sunday night Seattle crushing of Big Red Collingsworth made a comment that he enjoyed broadcasting two organizations that got it. He went on to gush about both organizations which I think was Baltimore and Pittsburgh. I could not help but think he was making a comparison with the previous broadcast he had done.

I think the Bill Sr Cardinals were about running a profitable business that if it provided competitive football at the same time was nice, but not a priority. Clearly in Jimmy J's 20 teams noted above

I think Mike B's Cardinals WANT to win a SB. "Want to" is the first necessary step.
