If we finish 6-10, I think we make a coaching change......it looks as though Reid won't be back.

I bet Reid takes at least 1 year off anyway given his long stint away from family because of football, plus TE death of his son.

No. Not as a head coach and not as a OC. I watched their game today and their play calling is as bad as ours.

If I were calling plays for them McCoy would get a minimum of 30 touches a game instead of blocking.

They have a horrendous OL also. Makes calling plays tough.

Nothing like hiring a coach with a worse record than our current coach (whom he beat) to correct our flaws.

I would go ballistic watching Reid coach. Reid is good at designing an offense and game plan between tuesday morning and saturday night, but when it comes down to making adjustments in game and managing the clock and game situations late there is no one worse in the entire league... (except maybe Norv Turner). There is a reason the Eagles have total collapses like clockwork and for years have seen the clock run out on them in key situations... and its squarely on Andy Reid. The guy wastes his timeouts and makes awful redzone decisions like its an art form and he is Monet.

Some of the stuff that happens with them is mind boggling. For example: In the Cards/Eagles game this year the Eagles had to blow a timeout on the first snap of the 2nd quarter... this was a play they had several minutes to prepare for and somehow managed to butcher the situation, a totally inexcusable mistake that happens to them constantly... you might think "no big deal, its one time out in the 1st half", but what happens at the end of the half as a direct result of the Eagles having no timeouts?

While that is one of our highlights to the year, those kinds of plays seemingly happen every other game for the Eagles. Would you really want to be on the opposite end of that play on a regular basis?

Reid should be a coordinator, the guy handles game situations horribly, and despite what many here claim, IMO one of Whiz's strongest attributes is his handling of close games and its why the Cardinals have a stellar record in close contests.

We could use an O-coordinator because Miller is a joke and the Cards offensive game planning lately has been stagnant to say the least. But Reid is probably above the job.

No.

Not at all, and not in the least.

I hate how Philly plays football, and I think Reid's system is outdated. The probability that you can put a offensive line skilled enough to pull off Reid's offensive is zero to none.

No. Please no. A thousand times no.

The Cards could lose out and Whiz isn't going anywhere this year. He's owed alot of money still.

Agree, Whiz will be here for the 2013 season. I would see Reid sitting out a year and being a hot candidate for the 2014 season. If the Cards have a bad season in 2013, Whiz is out. I could see the Cards going after Reid.

No. As others have said, Whis will be here at least one more year. But he has to get serious about addressing the offensive line and that includes letting Russ Grimm go IMO.

Anybody see how the Rams attacked the Niners defense Sunday? And their offensive line has also been wracked by injuries. Of course they have two running backs who are better than anything the Cardinals have seen the twilight years of Edgerin James.

I really do not want him. I sort of agree with Mitch. Time for a MAJOR change such as the Oregon head coach who can bring some innovation to this lack luster team.

One of the biggest reasons the Eggos suck is because they can't block on their O-line, which has trickled down to the rest of their team underperforming. From the QB to the Eggo's defense. The puupy strangler is forced to try too much. Their defense will make big stops and then get thrown right back on the field after their offense collapses. This is all starting to sound familiar right?

That's why Whiz needs to discard Grimm ASAP. If we kick Whiz to the curb, and he lands somewhere with an actual O-line...we will be watching Ken coach some other team in the playoffs, and it won't be because he has a top 3 NFL caliber QB. It will be because he has time to get his gameplan off the ground, instead of picking his QBs up off the ground.

Grimm has handicapped this team for a horrible last 3 years. It is the one spot that literally hurts the rest of the team, including Fitz. If the Cards somehow bounce Whiz and Grimm stays, well that's when I am all out.

and yet he's been to as many SBs as Whiz

Agreed. What Cardinal fan would want Arizona to win 7 division titles in 14 years? :)

Amazing how your perspective changes when you have a perennial contending team but never win the big one.

Two losing seasons in 13 years 7 Division titles and 5 trips to the NFC title game but because he lost 4 and the SB he's a bum. Meanwhile our guy who has 2 titles in 6 years and lost the SB and has lost more regular season games than he's won is the greatest coach in Cardinal history.
