Dockett really pisses me off. He says he likes playing somewhere else. WTF? That sounds like he doesn't like the team or its fans and doesn't really try here. No other player is making claims like this. I don't go to the stadium, I watch at home, but him telling the fans not to show their emotions is the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard. This is like a back-up QB criticizing us. I mean honestly show up on Sunday and then say stuff, stop garunteeing wins and crap like this and actually play. I never liked Dock or the way he plays and now I like him even less. I see 0 emotion from him, 0. Rather than on the field he displays his emotion in the papers. I can't believe he actually said this!

HEY! THIS IS RIDICULOUS!

DOCKETT IS RIGHT! DAMMIT!

HOW CAN WE BE BOOING OUR OFFENSE?!?!

When we should be booing our DT's for letting teams run all over us this year. :D

Note to Dockett - You like the Cowboys so much why don't you go play for them.....you might make 3rd string DE.

This is a joke right? This guy talk about effort....is that what you call what our OLine has been doing. I could have sworn that was called. Stink up the entire field with a constant half-@ss effort.

I mean has this guy been watching the same games we have ?

What a joke. Trade him for an actual DT, cause I have had my fill of undersized, high motor, high effort don't amount to jack DT's

Bashing your fans for booing you when you suck.....this guy is living in fantasy land.

Try winning for a change....wait that is too hard. How about try being competitive for a change. Give us 4 quarters of football instead of 2.

Stupid Cardinals.

Dunno if Darnell notices, but the boo's usually come after a extremely high pass sails over a WR's head out-of-bounds, or a dropped ball by a WR, or a run up the middle is called on 3rd and 10. This isnt college ball. We pay the bills, we can boo for whoever or whatever we want. This year is pretty brutal after such an exciting preseason build-up. That said, I try to remain positive among the restless natives (in another thread it was called blind optimism).

Cards 35, 'Hawks 31

Boos almost always start in one of two circumstances. 1. What appears to be a bad call against the Cards by the refs. 2. A 3 and out by the offense. Usually after the 3rd or 4th one of the game.

I would

add and agree that the play calling gets booed and could be being mistaken for booing the offense.
To question Docketts intensity or his "bringing it" on game day is pure folly.
The guy is a Warrior and as I've said before, he needs to slow down to the game at hand.
To blame Dockett for the lack of run stopping is also folly. We need a big body to play along side of him and after Davis went out we didn't have one.
It's bad enough going to a stadium and having a bunch of"come froms" cheering for their favorite team loud enough to be heard throughout the stadium, but to then give them the satisfaction of hearing us boo our own boys is just plain lame.
Oh yeah, I never said kicking the opponents teams fans asss would solve the problem. Though I have had some memorable moments in that stadium with ******** from other teams fan base. It's the philosophy that this is "OUR HOUSE" and we will defend it. AND we won't be polite and ask you to tea when we do it.

CARDINALS NOTEBOOK

Dockett calls out Arizona fans

Defensive tackle decries booing of offense

By DARREN URBAN TRIBUNE
CONTACT WRITER: (480) 898-6495 or [email protected]
Staff writer Matt Simpson contributed to this report.

The Cardinals are 2-5 and struggling in most aspects of the game.

But defensive tackle Darnell Dockett said Wednesday the team desperately needs its fans behind it Sunday against Seattle — no matter how frustrated those fans might be.

"There have been games where the offense has been struggling and our own fans boo our offense," Dockett said. "It’s like, excuse my language, but what type of (expletive) is that?

"We’re all supposed to be a family, and true Arizona Cardinal fans are supposed to be behind us. You hear people talk about they suck, they suck, and all this. It’s cool that that’s their opinion, but at the same time, don’t knock us for not giving effort. We give great effort — don’t get it wrong — and we fall short."

Dockett also said there are times he prefers to play on the road instead of Sun Devil Stadium.

"When you go somewhere like Dallas, when that boy (Anthony Henry) ran that interception back (against Arizona), it sounded like a earthquake in there," Dockett said. "It was so loud. I had to sit up to look to see what was going on. . . . The fans do play a big part in an organization. Whenever you go into one of those hostile environments the first thing they say is you better strap up ‘cause those fans will be loud. This year our fans have been doing decent, but any time you see them boo the offense, that’s not encouraging."

So far, 40,603 tickets have been distributed for Sunday’s game against the Seahawks.

BROWN DONE?

An MRI on rookie guard Elton Brown’s right knee revealed a tear in the meniscus, coach Dennis Green said, and there is a chance he will have to have seasonending surgery.

At best, Green said, Brown — who has struggled all season — will have to sit out three to four weeks.

As for Brown’s replacement, Green said he is keeping his options open. Because he hasn’t shown much confidence in backups Adam Haayer or Jeremy Bridges, Green may think about moving center Alex Stepanovich to guard — where Stepanovich played some in college — and using Nick Leckey at center.

Leckey was the starting center in camp after Stepanovich broke his hand, before Leckey suffered an ankle injury.

Q OK

Since his injury is the big story of the week, receiver Anquan Boldin was interviewed Wednesday by TV star Anquan Boldin for Boldin’s weekly "Q-Tip" segment for the team’s in-house show. Boldin was shot asking and answering questions while teammate Bryant Johnson switched baseball caps with Boldin and played the "listening" Boldin in each shot.

Boldin said doctors estimate his absence with a right knee bone bruise at two to four weeks, although Green said he is optimistic Boldin will be back before a month passes.

EXTRA POINTS
Tackle Oliver Ross (hand) will be back in the starting lineup, Green said. . . .

LeRon McCoy and the newly resigned Reggie Newhouse will split third receiver duties behind Larry Fitzgerald and Bryant Johnson with Boldin out. . . .

Besides Boldin and Brown, sitting out practice Wednesday were kick returner Reggie Swinton (toe), linebacker Lance Mitchell (knee), linebacker Karlos Dansby (knees), tight end Teyo Johnson (shin) and defensive end Chike Okeafor (wrist).

The kid id so right on all counts this state is only for front runners;and that is really to bad. We all should get behind our team, even if it hurts, they do represent us. Our fan base is a notional laughing stock, not just because the Cardianls lose, but how we act against them, even when they win.

We now should demand that Mr. B and his family have a reallity check and get this town, state a winning franchise. Winning starts from the top. Mr.B.we are giving you a first rate stadium, now give us a first rate team.

Bobcat  Docket is right, and we must back this kid for his passion for winning.

and if you are so much more comfortable playing away games, why don't you try winning a couple more of those?!

So true. Getting blown out by 30 points on the road shows that maybe you are too comfortable.

I don't boo my own team. But I can't agree with Dockett calling out people considering that he hasn't turned up this year. Maybe he should call himself out?

So you are saying that it is not our DT's fault that we are getting run over by almost every team in the league?

Or are you stating he is out of position and should be a DE?

I am saying he is over-rated, and spouting B.S. out of his mouth.

Dockett is asking us to cheer on our team for their effort ?

So I should say, HEY! We got embarrassed, played like poop, and were blown out. But let's give them a standing ovation for trying their best, and showing great effort!"

Well if that is the case. I want my million dollar contract, and new Cardinals jersey. Cause you put me out on the field I will try, and fight until I am dragged off the field.....but I will also get beat on every play and just plain suck. But I guess the fact that I do not have NFL talent should not matter. Just as long as I try my best! That is the Cardinal way.

I say boo! Boo so loud it "quakes the earth!" Boo the players, coaches, owners and show that you are fed up with this B.S. SUPPORT? Support is earned. Heck we all watch the game on TV. All those fans in SDS who paid money to see the horror show on the field have every right to boo, and do what ever they want to while their there.

Think about it. Dockett is calling out the FANS? Cardinals FANS? Dockett has played on this team for 2 years. Some Cardinals fans have been dealing with this pathetic organization for 10 or even 20 times as long. You don't call out the 20,000 faithfull that still, amongst the decades of B.S., come out to watch the Cardinals.

Joe Horn said it best. "The fans pay their hard earned money to see the game. And they have the right to boo. Especially when the team plays poorly."

The Cardinals want the fans to cheer. Then execute, play well and win. Don't talk about it. DO IT.

I'm not saying

you don't have the right to boo, that you do. I don't agree with it as much as i agree with booing the play calling.
I don't think he;'s out of position, but, and I could be wrong, this scheme calls for one very large body at the position anmd one not as large but faster.

Dear Darnell,

I am sooo sorry about the boos you heard today, November 6, 2005 during your game against Seattle. You guys played an awesome game on both sides of the line of scrimmage. I hope you weren't upset too much by it since I know how sensitive you are to that kind of thing. It was just a few unruly fans who have expectations that are way too high apparently.

I don't boo, but sometimes it's warranted. That being said, too much WILL have a detrimental effect. More than a few NHLers stayed away from Montreal in the past decade because of the boo birds--and we're talking about a team with a legendary history and the highest attendance in the league. Players talk to players, and I'm sure more than a few have advised against going to play for the Cardinals.

I am getting so numb that at the game yesterday i mostly just sat there, or stood in the walkway.
I sure can't cheer for a fieldgoal.
I did cheer when the Cards stopped the Seahawks - all too rare.
I didn't even have the energy to boo - there were enough fans in the westside stands for that.
One of my neighbors had an opportunity for free tickets - in the loge - and free parking and turned it down.
Sludgegutt didn't costume up or paint his face, I didn't wear my Cardinals tophat - we're on a zombie march to the end of the season.

If booing was a big factor then a player would sure avoid Philly and NY as the fans there go for the throat if you do not perform. They still seem to put winners on the field. There were not enough fans in Montreal to even be heard and it was clear for years that they were headed out of Dodge. I wonder if TO will get a few boos when he gets back on the field in Philly. You can bet your bottom dollar. He will probably give them the finger.

I'm with you.....I've come to the realization that the 2005 season is over. For the rest of the year I'm just going to enjoy time with my family, enjoy the beautiful weather, and be thankful we actually have a team at all.

I'm actually talking about the Canadiens, not the Expos. The Canadiens lead the league in attendance and have press equally as intense as baseball in NY. NY is a different story because the media and promotion opportunities are so great that it provides a huge tradeoff. Philly is definitely unique.

Do you think Dockett will be booed when he gets pancaked next week and a 190 pound running back runs over his sorry ass?

I think we should cheer.....when his replacement steps onto the field.

After a decent pre-season too.

I shoulda known better. :hammer:

Like I've been saying for months. Dockett stinks, anybody want to argue that now?
