As Collinsworth said - what the heck good does it do to punch someone in the facemask??

Stupid!

I'd love to know what DD said to him on the ground. It looked like he was saying or even yelling something right before the punch. on the sideline they had a closeup of Bradshaw saying something like "I can't let him say that to me" but i couldn't really make out the whole thing.

Whatever it was Bradshaw reacted immediately. I would assume he'll get a fine and maybe a suspension out of that.

Wrong!

The suspension and fine will go to Adrian Wilson for not stopping Bradshaw in the first place.

That was my question at the time: what did Dockett say or do while laying on top of him? I think Darnell is a pretty sick puppy, it must have been pretty bad. Too bad it only cost the Giants 1 1/2 yds!

The personal foul penalty should be supplemented in someway if it's inside your own 5 yard line. As it stands now if your pinned on your own 2 yard line why not take a cheap shot and risk a minor fine?

Shortly after the incident, on a close up of Bradshaw, it looked like he was saying something to the effect of..."That b**** wouldn't get off of me". DD did stay ontop of him for quite some time, most likely to run the time down as much as possible.

DD gets a lot of credit for bringing Glass Joe from Punchout into the discussion. Personally I miss King Hippo the most.

If this is the play I remember, couldn't the Cardinals take the down instead of the penalty? The penalty certainly did not help the Cardinals.

It was a dead ball foul so the play counted. Then, half the distance to the goal line was subtracted.

When it cut away and the flag came out, I thought the flag was taunting on D-Dock...he was YAPPING in his face. Nice that he drew the punch and the flag.

Bradshaw was a bitch.

I heard it was all a mistake and that it was just a remark made by Docketts flatulence. Which of course Bradshaw misunderstood and he reacted like most of would in that situation. :)

Personally, I'd say it was more like Don Flamenco:

Punch to the face, dodge the uppercut, and hit him with alternating left & right head shots until he goes down.

When he gets back up, look for the upper cut, and quickly & repeatedly hit him with a left body shot as he raises his arm for the uppercut.

Should produce a KO.

Dodge all punches, and wait for King Hippo to raise his right hand, with his mouth open, before he throws a straight punch. Hit him in the mouth when he does this and his boxer shorts will fall. Then repeatly hit him with body blows. Do this once or twice and King Hippo will be KO'd.

Thanks Brother. I think Eli might have felt like King Hippo landed on him during the Branch sack.

I was thinking the same. It seems like it would be better to advance the distance needed for first, so that there is an actual consequence. You can take whatever is left for first and subtract from the 15 yards that you will add for the penalty. so it would gor from 2nd and 9 to 3rd and 23 without the spot of the ball changing.
