I will say it, the Cardinals deserved better than how Dockett chose to go out. I'm cool with him getting his money. I'm ok that he signed with a rival. But, to try and trash on the Cardinals on the way out, that is weak sauce to a team that invested so much in you and your career.

I can tell you, the final offer the Cards made Dockett was ridiculously fair, with the potential to be a bigger year one than the 9ers.

And the fact he didn't take it, made me unhappy he left......but extremely happy with how the Cards handled it.

I agree. If he would rather be a niner than be reasonable, go be a niner.

They basically asked him to put together one of his top 5 years of his career this year plus play X% of the games, and if he did he would have made over 500K more than the 9ers guaranteed him.

If he doesn't feel confident (possibly healthy) enough to take that risk to just put together a great season and play for us, he probably made the correct business decision like Arians alluded to.

Thanks Kiem for not caving....and DD, get your mind right after your time with the 9ers and come back and coach!

Sounds to me like Dockett is starting to get what he deserved in San Francisco, LOL!

That would work out well, he could tell the players were all the strip clubs were since they are now of age. Remember 12 years old avoid strip clubs, of age, green light or should I say red light.

There was a reason why Arians kept him around the players last year while injured, gotta remember that. There was serious talk of cutting (agreeing to a settlement, knowing you can't cut an injured player like that) him last year...they wanted him back this year, but on their terms.

I wouldn't be surprised to see him back in AZ helping with the D-Line in a couple years

Dockett deserved better? Did any of his paychecks bounce when he wasn't playing? He got everything he had coming to him from the Big Red and decided to go elsewhere. He was great for us but now he's gone and that's that. He is not the player he once was but can still help the 49ers. We can have fond memories and then beat the 49ers asses when we play them.
