Ridiculous....

How so ?

I thought Dockett played well.

He went from questioning what he had to play the end of the year, to playing injured, playing well while injured, and played with a lot of heart during that period. That is how character and leadership is created and earned.

Not to mention he is still a force as a player.

I think he deserves it without a doubt.

Undeserved..... More on reputation than production IMO.

He was a warrior this year, that's for sure. He gets props for playing hurt and hating the Niners.

My how times have changed. I remember the days when we would wonder if our deserving players like Aeneas Williams would get in despite of the fact they played on the Cards. Now we get two that have no business being there. I guess that's progress.

I'll never say a good Cardinals player didn't deserve to go. Shame on all you guys for thinking the Pro Bowl is any more than a popularity contest. :)

Wilson and Dockett had "down" years. The only reason I didn't say they had horrendous years is because the Cards are my team. Either way it is nice to have Cards in the game.

Eventually enough players who had really good years take themselves out and finally they have to take whatever is left. Not saying Docket sucks, but he didn't have his best year.

Remember, Anderson was once a pro bowler thanks to a drop or two.

Meh, as defensive tackles go, Dockett had a pretty solid year. 52 tackles and 5 sacks is pretty good for a DT.

Calais Campbell beat him in both categories with less PT. Should he be going? Darnell as usual disappeared far to often and for too long of stretches.

Do me a favor. Re-read my post and find where I said he deserves to go to the Pro-Bowl.

True however you certainly aren't saying that he doesn't deserve to go. ;)

Players who get invited to the pro-bowl because someone else can not go should not be considered official pro-bowlers. They will just use it as a reason to demand more money when they did not legitimately make it, popularity contest or not. Darnell Dockett is and always will be a pro-bowl alternate for the 2010 season.

considering DD was the only guy in the front 7 that the defense had to account for, he had a good year and is pro-bowl worthy. Look at the garbage around him and he still put up 52 tackle and 5 sacks.

He goes into the pro bowl ...as the back up to the back up.

Suh said no, Kevin Williams said no...so it's D Dock

I don't see this as an honor when 2 guys don't show.

I remember last year when 5 guys at some positions said no.

If you watch the games you will see DD doubled almost every snap. CC emerged late in the year but did not face the same kind of double teams.

I, for one, believe DD deserves to be in the game. Not a great year for him but a solid year for an NFL DT. If we had good OLB's or ILB's, we would be talking about how the double teams free up other players...problem is...our LB's are mediocre at this point and are unable to exploit the extra man used for DD.

Just don't see where DD had a good year based on expectations. CC had poor year in my opinion which didn't help any.

Our D was just plain bad DL included.
