It's not about being goofy, it's about trying to get his client the best possible deal and thus, making the most money he can make. Of course he's telling the world that teams are interested. If people think he's in demand and you think he can be a contributor on your team, someone is likely to pay a little more for him. If Drew can drive his value up by even a few hundred thousand, good for him.

Yep. Does anyone expect an agent to say that there's nobody interested and he'll be lucky to sign for the minimum? He's just doing his job. At this point he may sign by the end of the week and he may not. We'll just have to wait and see.

Exactly....and, though DD is the only one who who knows, it would seem that Darnell finds this to be the teams response to his loyalty. He isn't a business guy, he's old school. I'll do this for you and you reciprocate later. I know that the team is doing what's best but I really don't think that he ever expected to get cut.
