No one was saying that about us when Whis said we rallied around the "worst team ever in the playoffs" comments. It amazes me how often these athletes today play the "no respect" angle, but they do. We'll be using that as motivation today as well.

There's a huge difference in riding national disrespect and "nobody believes in us" and "rallying" around one player's sarcastic comments when everyone on the planet is expecting that player's team to get blown out.

The motivation game doesn't work that way.

If they are grabbing at things for motivation then deep down they are worried. I agree with you 100% on this one Donald.

I can assure you guys that anything said by an opposing player ONLY fuels the fire of the fanbase and not the actual players...
NFL players are a fraternity, and I can guarantee you that at the conclusion of the game, they will hug, kiss and pray with eachother. And during the offseason, will party and vacation together...
And in the cases where you hear a player or a coach state that they felf slighted by the opposition, it is only being said with the knowledge that making those statements will fire up the respective fan-base.
Now, the dissing from the media - that's an entirely different story. But "disrespect" from opposing players? It's all WWE fella's... ;)

Disagree completely. If I overhear somebody say I can't do something, ESPECIALLY my peers, you damn well better believe I'm going to prove them wrong and shut them up.

Yes, they're a fraternity. But anytime somebody questions someone's ability or makes snide remarks about someone's ability, it fires people up.

The playoffs are all about players and teams being in the spotlight. Now the spotlight is on their RB's to see if they'll respond to what DD said. You think they're not going to go even more full out knowing that everybody is going to be watching to see if they are the real deal or not?

The Titans and Ravens have talked trash to each other for awhile and every game between them is a slug fest.

If what you said was true, there would never be an actual rivalry between teams.

Whatever... And by the way, don't kid yourself dude... The "rivalry" between teams pales in comparison to the "rivalry" between fans...
