Zack Godley... who are you man??? Wow!!!!

If he continues this way, he might be the best Dbacks rookie in our history.

I remember on the radio they had TL on Gambo and Burns and he said something like: This Godley kid has the best curveball I've ever seen.

I've been critical of TL on a couple of occasions this season, but he and the rest of the staff certainly made the right call on this kid. He is for real.

Is he still considered a rookie? 27 years old and pitching in the majors for all or parts of the last 3 seasons.

Not a rookie, For sure. Brain fart.

But still impressive! :)

I heard Theo on the radio after our Chicago series. He said he hopes the Godley trade doesn't get him fired.

Things to know about this game

• D-backs outfielder A.J. Pollock owns a .462 batting average and two homers in 13 career at-bats against Wood.

• Greinke is 10-0 at Chase Field this season. He is looking to become the first National League pitcher to start 11-0 at home since he did so with the Brewers in 2011.

• Wood threw his fastball only 45 percent of the time in his most recent start, his second-lowest rate this season. His 90.8-mph average velocity with it was a season low.

In Mejia and Godley, they've acquired two non-elite prospects who nonetheless have a chance at making the major league squad down the line. Godley was a 10th-round pick out of Tennessee in 2013 and has been working his way through the Chicago minor league system. He's compiled a 2.74 ERA and 1.22 WHIP in 54 relief appearances and is yet to make it out of Single-A.

Listed at 6'3" and 235 pounds, Godley possesses a solid fastball that usually hovers in the low-90s and can go a little higher in priority situations. He's struck out 105 batters in 82 minor league innings, including 52 fans in 40 innings at high-A Daytona. Odds are his peak is somewhere around middle relief levels, but it's possible the right pitching coach can help Godley figure out how to better use his frame.

The real prize—or at least potential prize—for Arizona is Mejia, a 20-year-old Dominican import who is just beginning to scratch his potential. Signed last summer by Chicago following an impressive showing at the International Prospect League All-Star Game, Mejia has been impressive in limited minor league work.

Mejia is still in A, actually demoted to lowest A, struggling as a reliever, and was traded for Adam Rosales

We seriously struggled against Woods the last time we faced him. It was another reason why we acquired JD and even Rosales, as they both are supposed rake against lefties... Tonight would be a good time for them to prove that the reports weren't merely hype...

By the sounds of it we might be catching Wood at the right time. Let's hope that is proven true. These next 9 games are a chance to prove who this team really is against some of the best. Started 1-0, lets see where we are after tonight.

If they stink it up tonight, this will be again, another roller coaster ride with the dbacks!

Yesterday's game better have been the game that brought them out of their funk and back on the right track.

I dont know who that black girl in the pool is in those Gila River commercials, but she is gorgeous, and I think I'm in love with her.
