If Suggs ran a 5.5, I would say he was UNDRAFTABLE and he got 24 sacks by pure luck.

Wasnt it proven that it was cold medicine and not a supplement?

I think with Peppers he took a cold medicine that had an ingredient that is considered a masking agent and thus the failed test. Same with Jim Miller. He took some OTC drug for something and got suspended because he tested psoitive for steroids due to an ingredient in the meds he took. If you looked at Miller, you would know he isn't juiced...unless you consider him guzzling prune juice to be juiced.

If Suggs ran a 4.35

Depends on the position. For anyone who plays off the line it is a huge difference.

Look NFL teams grade on the 40 for a reason. I know that to you as a fan, it doesn't seem like a lot, but that ability to get that extra .5 seconds means he is a step quicker on the field.

If Suggs ran a 4.35, than he would be the hybrid DE/LB Derrick Thomas type.

However, since Suggs isn't that hybrid DE/LB type, I don't think it is that big of a factor...My concern is with his initial burst and strength.

I have long maintained that if Suggs had average DE strength I would have absolutely no questions about him.

As to Peppers bench press, I can't explain that. Nor can I explain how weak Suggs is. When Peppers grabs the OT and flat moves him, it is clear just how strong he is. It also helps that he is a huge guy. Perhaps it will be the same for Suggs. I just have visions of him getting knocked on his butt a lot.

Well if you can bench press 225 19 times, you can move a dude who weighs 325 without a problem....

Suggs has perhaps the best pass rush moves of any prospect in the past 10 years, probably even better than Kearse....Very few o-lineman will be able to hold onto him.

The only way the top statement makes sense is if the guy stands still. You can bench press all you want but you need quickness and position to move a 325 pound guy. Your right he does have great moves but how many potential 1st round draft choices has he played? I assume not many. Nobody knows just how he will match up against starting NFL O-linemen. The draft is a crap shoot you have no idea what to expect.
