Too bad you didn't stick around, that formula didn't last, the plot thickened, Olivia had more to do with things than anyone realized, etc.

It's gotten really, really good.

I don't know. I thought it was ok at first, then it dramatically went nowhere. Once I dropped it, I heard nothing positive about the show whatsoever until you spoke up. If I ever have time, maybe I'll give it another shot. I'd really have to have some free time, though.

I thought Fringe started as a so/so X-Files wanna be that didn't hold my interest at all. Over the last few episodes though, it's started to develop more of it's own style and has gotten much better IMO.

Kinda like Dollhouse, it started out ok, not great but not terrible, and then has gotten progressively better and better. When Dollhouse started, I wasn't sure if I would keep watching it or not, but then it kept getting better and now I don't miss it.

I like the way Dollhouse is constantly evolving in interesting ways. You rarely see major role changes this quickly (mostly the security chief, but also Sierra and how her role has consistently gotten larger). I love it, it makes the show extremely dynamic and not directly classifiable as any one thing.

Reminds me of what Joss did with "fringe" characters in Buffy and Angel. You would see some character evolve, some take on bigger roles etc.. I am glad I stuck around. I was on the brink until around episode 6 but held on because that's when things were suppose to get interestings.

Now a few episodes later, that has held true. There have been some interesting plot developments and IMO much misdirection about what is really going on.

Good ep last week. The whole premise (temporary life after death) was a good twist on the ways dolls can be used.

I didn't enjoy this last episode.

Maybe the purpose was to continue to develop the underlying stories of other characters while giving Dushku something to do. Her story went nowhere.

But we got to see some great development with the programmer and the agent.

So is the agent Alpha?

I was ok that nothing developed for Dushku in the ep - they seem to mix in some episodic 'doll assignment' flavor-of-the-week stuff along with the serial plotlines. Thought the life-after-death was a nice twist on the previous assignments we've seen.

Not sure if agent is Alpha...

This last episode was pretty sweet. I'm surprised they revealed that much of the story in one episode. I really hope they aren't already moving toward a series finale as opposed to a season finale. It just seems that they are advancing the story awful fast.

That last episode in a word ... Out-friggin-standing.

There are still plenty of twists that can come along the way if Fox gives it a chance. Please Fox give it a chance. Please!!

Cool! Alan Tudyk!

Okay, who was a bit bummed at the role they initially gave Alan Tudyk? Like, 'yeah, it's cool he's on the show, but it'll only be for one episode'. Then WHAMMO! Alpha! whoa!

Okay, completely off-topic here...I never knew that actor's name before...it looks like it's pronounced "two-dick". Please tell me I'm wrong.

Well, yeah, it kinda is. Still, the 1st syllable, Tu, is the stressed syllable, to it's more like Tu - dyk. If that helps at all :)

No friggin' kidding! BAM!

First off, I loved that it was Tudyk on the show. Then I loved that he was simply AWESOME. His lines were awesome, his delivery was awesome...

Loving this show...

Also loved how Alan looked all wimpy early on, with the baggy shirt, etc., then when he was suddenly Alpha, suddenly he's friggin' RIPPED.

I called that he was Alpha a split second before it happened, but I really had ZERO idea that he'd end up being that guy.

Love it!

I knew Alan Tudyk was making a guest appearance but wow. What a great episode. He played both sides of this character brilliant. I don't know how they would do this with the direction the story is going but man, if they could find a way to add him to the cast.....I would be stoked.

If anybody can't see how much the show has improved from the first 6 episodes or so...they have not been watching.

This isn't official or anything, but I think it's a good bet that Dollhouse will return. There has been rumblings that Fox is trying to find something to pair with it to replace Sarah Connor.

Good season finale - not quite as good as the penultimate episode, but still good. Really hope this show gets a second season. Wheadon usually gets better and better (Buffy, etc).

Was kind of guessing that Dr. Saunders might be a doll - whomever guessed it after the last ep was spot on!

Ballard's actions at the end were cool - interesting that he chose to have Milly freed rather than Caroline in exchange for his future services.

Also am curious to see how they continue to explore the power of the imprints vs the doll's residual souls.

And what is Topher's secret? He and Dr. Saunders/Whiskey have a past history for sure.

The kind of show that can go really anywhere the writers want to take it...great possibilities.

I agree with much of what you said. Thought the previous episode was better but some good stuff in the finale.

Just a thought, but do you remember the episode where Topher imprinted the doll to celebrate his birthday? You think that the imprint that he used could be the original "Whiskey"? That actual dolls real self?

Yup - that's a good theory. Maybe she was his lab partner or girlfriend or something, and volunteered to be one of the early dolls due to some tramua...and he has a hard time with it?

Dunno...

My other random theory of the moment is that everyone except Topher is a doll...like he's the crazy scientist whom the faceless corporation hired to setup the LA dollhouse. So he starts with the imprint for the house leader (Olivia Williams) and goes from there.
