If you are top level guy who is being headhunted it doesn't matter. A lot is forgiven for difference makers in any industry. This is just another example of that.

I'm half with you on this. You're right, but you have to make sure it isn't THE interview. Mouthing off to the medical weenies (that don't work for the team)? You can get away with it if you're good enough. Being a douche canoe in an interview with the team? Buh-bye, your ass is off the board.

He didn't mouth off to the wrong person (that we know of), so he'll probably get a pass.

Just watched the "The NFL's top ten defenses" in league history and every one of them had a complete psycho at ILB... sign me up for the Foster guy :)

Let's not act like this guy is Peyton Manning and is a "top level guy." He's literally a kid from college looking for his first job. One with a good resume, but if you act like you own the place and actually haven't done anything yet, especially when there's another glaring red flag on your resume keeping you from showing what you're capable of, it's gotta be a factor. Kid is gonna get a job, but it might not be as good as it could be.

I don't want to overextend the analogy here though.

I guess one more thing - I'm not trying to say that I'm all that bothered by Foster's outburst, or would be mad if we drafted him. He's one of the top 5 guys I realistically want. I'm just saying this is a legitimate character concern, one top 15 team has apparently pulled him off of their board, injury concerns, and I don't want another ILB that can't stay on the field, whatever reason that may be.

It's not fatal, but it's a red flag that becomes part of Foster's resume.

One thing we don't know are the "who said what?" details of the incident. (For example, if Foster said something like "Do you know who I am?" it might reveal an egotistical guy with a sense of entitlement. On the other hand, if he said "I've been here for 6 hours and am late for a meeting. Let me go past this door" , that would be a different story).

Without the facts, we can only speculate.
