i just don't know how we are less desperate and needy at T when we have just ONE marginally talented T on the entire roster right now. and yes, you'll probably throw in your usual "well, the Cardinals obviously think they have more than one marginally talented T on the entire roster" comment like you normally do, but they've thought that for years and for the last two years we've had ATROCIOUS play from that position, as evidenced by not even on team taking a whiff of a former RT and our LT just signed for a bottom of the rung contract as far as LT starters are concerned.

As someone up north who actually watches the Bills, I was rather indifferent to the Bell "love".

In the end, a Brown, Colledge, Sendlein, Snyder line and say, Decastro or Glenn, is better on paper than what we had last season. IMO

We are without a shadow of a doubt targeting one of Decastro(move Snyder to RT), Reiff(Levi and him duke it out for RT and LT), or Cordy Glenn (Levi at LT, Glenn at RT).

Of which I actually don't have a problem with. What I don't like is that we are once again forced to do something in the 1st round.

Agree, and I was just about to post something to the same effect.

Would have loved to draft wideout in the 1st. Although, if Reiff is there @ #13, I won't be too sad.

With or without Bell, DeCastro could be the BPA at #13... who just happens to meet a need.

Wonderful. We still have the worst starting tackle duo in the NFL.

I'd be thrilled if we get DeCastro, but it seems ridiculous to invest in OG when we have two human turnstiles at OT.

Agreed. Disappointing as my top choice is Melvin Ingram, and I would hate for the Cards to pass on him for Cordy Glenn. I like Glenn, but think Ingram will be a really special player under a coach like Horton who can move him around and use him various ways.

I am more concerned with our QB being Kolb than I am the tackle situation

Cards can still take BPA like Ingram if he is there. There are some decent OTs that could be there in round 3 and later. Jeff Allen, Bobby Massie, James Brown, Nate Potter, etc. IMO the only real sure fire starter is Kalil.

Are you the least bit comfortable with the idea of starting Snyder at RT?

No.

Snyder is one of the worst OT, in regards to pass blocking, in the league, I think only Brown and Keith were worse.

If Snyder and Brown are our two starting OT's we have done nothing to improve our offensive line. That being said, Snyder was signed to be a guard.

IMO, Bridges will be our RT if no one is signed.

LOL, good luck with that.

Same ol'........Same ol'...........Same ol' Cardinals.

Therefore, Snyder is better. Therefore, it would be an upgrade.

upgrade is upgrade, doesnt matter by how much.

Snyder can't be worse than Rex Hadot or Brandon Keith whichever position he fills. What is disappointing for me is it seems we had a ton of momentum from the end of last season, and we have not been able to capitalize on it. We have improved out roster financially, but have not made one signing that has upgraded our roster in terms of talent.

Looks like Bells deal is just a one year deal. Only first year is guaranteed. Eagles can cut him after this season with zero cap impact.

Bell opted for the fake 5 year deal over other more secure offers from other teams.

simply because it's different? Snyder is a HORRIBLE OT and we're locked in for need at 13. That kinda sucks IMO.

+1

You have 3 tackles who make up the worst 3 pass protecting tackles in the league in the last three years.

Last year we had 2 out of those 3 tackles as our starting OTs.

This year we have 2 out of those 3 tackles as our starting OTs.

If we got better it is by the smallest amount possible that would still allow to use the term "upgrade".

LOL, and to think people laughed at me because I was going to "settle" for a Jeff Backus. Jeez, if only.

Agreed.

Says a lot about what players think of this organization. We have had two players who had great opportunities to come in, start, and have success. Both decided to go elsewhere, for "lesser" opportunities.

The reputation this organization has seems to be no better than it was in 1999.

While the fans what to say this organization is different, that is fine, and a respectable way to look at it. But, where it matters, with players, our reputation is still what it was.

That is NOT a good thing.

Jurecki, Urban and Somers all seem to be leaning more toward this line of thinking over the past couple of days. Glenn's name is coming up more and more from all three. If he is in fact the target, I sincerely hope there's a trade down involved. Glenn still seems like a reach at 13.

Not sure how you made that leap???

Also turned down offers from Green Bay, Buffalo, and Washington.

I dont think he would be a reach at all.

A guy who runs a scouting service, Russ Lande(?) is on with MJ once a week it seems, and has been saying a lot of scouts he talks to have had Glenn rated as a better prospect then Martin and some have him as the 2nd best OT in the draft. Thinks there is a 50-50 shot at him not even making it to the Cards at #13.

Huddlereport has him ranked 20th, and CBS Sportsline has him at #22. Not that big of a leap to take him at #13 IMO if you really want him.

That's good to hear. Maybe I'm just shell shocked by our recent experiences with enormous OTs. I would still much prefer DeCastro, Floyd or Ingram, though.

Warner proved you wrong

Meh. Warner isn't here anymore and we don't have a future HoF QB on the roster with a quick release.

Although Warner didn't get sacked often, he still took his fair share of hits.

Our only hope is if our QBs learn to use their mobility to their advantage.
