Expected Demetrius Bell to sign with #Eagles, but now hearing Steelers, Cardinals are possibilities.

Not sure how credible Matt Miller is, but thought I'd pass this along.

Speculation (short version): He's just making an educated guess based on no new info.

it's doubtful that Miller has bugged Bell's I-Phone or Philly, Pitts or AZ hq. We already knew that AZ and Pitts were being considered before Philly.

That's a scary thought.

Not as scary to me as ivesting serious coin in injury plagued guys like Bell and McNeil. I'm more inclined towards finding developmental O-lineman in the draft, and there are a number projected to be available in the third/fourth round.

I'm more interested in taking a shot at a guy like Bell and McNeil AND finding developmental O-linemen in the draft. After all, if we sign Bell or McNeil and they get hurt, it's not like Levi isn't already on the roster!

The old "throw enough mud against the wall" philosophy.

I'm not so sure it's a bad way to go, if our objective is to be sure we have an O-line we can win behind.

Wish we were as proactive as Andy Reid..

Howard Eskin

I hear Eagles bringing in Bills FA left tackle demetrius Bell in this weekend. Top FA left tackle out there. Son of Karl Malone.

The Eagles announced left tackle Jason Peters ruptured his Achilles tendon in his right leg on Tuesday, March 27, while training in Texas. Surgery to repair the tendon is scheduled for April 2 in Philadelphia and will be performed by Dr. Steve Raikin of the Rothman Institute.

The Eagles also re-signed reserve offensive tackle King Dunlap today and Peters' injury may have precipitated it.

When Jayson Peters was playing for Arkansas he was a pass catching 300 lb tight end. He was very good as a pass catcher and blocker and had no problem running over people. Now that he is a Guard I assume he must have added a few lbs. The Eagles will miss him. He is also a nice guy.

Reid proactive? He's desperate!

He 'dream teamed' his way to 8-8 last season and we beat him.

Bell has gone from Buffalo to AZ, Washington, Green Bay and now to Pittsburgh and Philly: When do we start realizing that he may be no one's answer at left tackle?

Reid sold us the Brooklyn Bridge and why should he not look to sell or trade us some other loser.

Actually, the fact that a team might be desperate now for Bell, does not make the Cardinals idiots Bodha...because the probable reason that Bell has not sign to this point was the fact nobody was going to pay him for what he was not worth with the injury issue. Because the Eagles are in crapville now does not make the Cards or anyone else to blame, it just means the Eagles are in trouble and Bell is going to get more than he deserves...the situation does not make Bell any better of a player

If the Eagles sign RGIII they want need to worry about Bell or any other tackle. How about us trading a great prospect in Kevin Kolb who knows their system and Bell for RGIII. We might even throw in our second round pick. Oh! I forgot we already have given them our second round pick. I know I will be sick when I see who is there when they use that pick.

Non-sequitor.

We are talking about Bell visiting Philly, what this has trades is beyond me.

We remain Cap-stretched...

According to Pat Kirwin today on SIRIUS, new #'s are out and the Cards are 32nd in cap room with roughly $833K.

He did not elaborate. I'd love to know whether or not they still have Joey P and Womack included as active roster members, since neither are still listed on the official Cardinal roster.

Point is - Where would we find the cap room to sign Bell?

Restructure Kolb, Wilson or Fitz. It isn't that hard to create cap space if needed.

"The Eagles, however, lost starting stud tackle Jason Peters to a major Achilles injury last week and became both desperate and needy."

Desperate and needy? Funny coming from a team with the worst OT's in the NFL. If the Eagles are desperate and needy, what are the Cards?[/QUOTE]

Less desperate and needy, obviously. They've lost arguably the best L-tackle in the NFC and had no adequate replacement on the roster unless one considers King Dunlap the answer to any question.

So we will be going into next season with two of the worst pass blocking OT's in the league over the last 3 yrs. check.

Wow what an underwhelming off season.

At least we re-signed Campbell..... oh wait

Same ol Cardinals

i just don't know how we are less desperate and needy at T when we have just ONE marginally talented T on the entire roster right now. and yes, you'll probably throw in your usual "well, the Cardinals obviously think they have more than one marginally talented T on the entire roster" comment like you normally do, but they've thought that for years and for the last two years we've had ATROCIOUS play from that position, as evidenced by not even on team taking a whiff of a former RT and our LT just signed for a bottom of the rung contract as far as LT starters are concerned.

We are without a shadow of a doubt targeting one of Decastro(move Snyder to RT), Reiff(Levi and him duke it out for RT and LT), or Cordy Glenn (Levi at LT, Glenn at RT).

Of which I actually don't have a problem with. What I don't like is that we are once again forced to do something in the 1st round.

Or delusional. We re-signed one of the worst starting tackles of the last 3 years, then doubled down by signing arguably the worst RT over the same period. I'm ok with Snyder as a guard, but right now our starting RT is? Our starting LT is?

I'm just glad we have all the basics filled so we're not forced to reach on in the draft.
