I have to say, it appears that Earl has bulked up some. He moved like a SF, but he has the body of a PF. He appears to be more like Hedo and Warrick than Grant Hill. Actually, I thought he looked more broad-shouldered than Hedo, so even if he somehow finds a way to play well, he'll be looked at more as a PF than a SF.

Perhaps a comparison can be made of Earl Clark to Vlade Divac when he first arrived in the NBA... although Divac looked like he belonged from the beginning. Clark doesn't. Anyway, Divac was in love with the outside shot when he joined the Lakers and he liked to play outside. Actually Divac had an excellent outside shot but the Lakers wanted him to play inside as a center.

Of course no one expects Clark to play center but he could be asked to play PF. IMO, Clark should be made to play inside like Divac whether he likes it or not until he develops a complete game. IMO, the Suns would quickly find out if Clark is a player in this scenario.

My thoughts are right now, is Clark tries to avoid physical contact and he is likely to continue to do so. The Suns could quickly find out if he has a future with the Suns by making him play inside first.
