I'm not one of those "we get no respect" guys, but according to my Yahoo Pick'em League, the Cards are opening as 4.5 point dogs at home against Philly.

WTF? I get that we don't get any respect, but maybe Vegas is just killing it with money coming in against the Cards, and are trying to sucker dumb money.

We have zero offense... Yes, we have an emerging defense that just might be way better than anyone first thought. But, given that we literally can't run the ball and we have Kolb at QB, I think being underdogs are right in this game. If the game were being played in Philly, the line would be at least 7, probably closer to 9...

Not zero. Not against Philly at home.

It's only been 2 games so.... who the hell knows... But, we're currently ranked 30th in total offense. The Iggles are ranked numero uno...

I think I'm pretty close to being right when I say we have ZERO offense...

Kolb passer rating of 95.7. Michael Vick 66.9.

w00t!

Don't get me wrong mullinator... I like our chances in this game. That said, I can totally see why the line is -4.5.

As for Kolb - dude will have way more pressure on him than in any other game he has ever started.
I hope he's up to the challenge!!

Me too. All good. Kolb will go back to being Kolb soon enough.

I hope they keep us the underdog all year - hopefully the defense sees it and uses it as more motivation :)

Are over/under numbers moving smaller? With the publicity our D is getting and how inept our offense has been you would think that should happen.

4.5 dogs at home is a really big number for any team, much less a 2-0 team that just went into the AFC Champion's house and punched them in the nose.

Kolb is getting a half second longer in protection. He is calming down some, realizing he doesn't have to do it all himself. I think he will improve.

With Vick it can go one of two ways, he's one of those QB's who will throw you some balls every game, you just gotta catch them. either he will continue to turn it over like the first 2 games, or he'll stop turning it over. I'm hoping he doesn't stop until after he leaves Arizona.

In his last 15 NFL starts he's thrown 20 picks, like Jay Cutler if you do your job and stay home he'll give you chances to get picks.

Early dogs? Word must've slipped out that we're wearing the black jerseys this week.

Vegas certainly doesn't believe in us

I know many of you don't care about betting lines. However I think us opening up AT home 4 point underdogs against a Philly team that went on the road, struggled to beat a mediocre Browns team with a rookie QB starting, is a HUGE slap in the face!!!

I mean hell in the NFL home field usually nets you a 3 point favorite. So IMO the odds makers have us as 7 point dogs! Someone tell the defense please! :D

It'll take more time.

I realize the defense has been comming together since last season and we all see it but we were completely written off after the start we had last year.

Also, betting lines do open up also based on their perception of what it'll take to even out the bets somewhat.

It's not ONLY about what THEY think will happen it's about what they KNOW it will take to even the bets out.

Most of the country has no clue, they all think we suck and it won't change until we win some bigger games, a lot of them, one or two is always seen as a fluke.

So far we beat Seatle at home, seen as a very mild fluke, extremely mild fluke and we won at New England, seen as an EPIC fluke, but if you watched the game it was no fluke.

A lot of good bookies know this already but they don't care because they also know the bets still won't come in on us across the country until we do this repeatedly.

What will be interesting is where the money goes on this. Watch the line during the week.
