maybe, but why would a horrendous team playing for the future want to give any kind of time a back with no future? Only the 2003 Cardinals would do something like that... okay, I see your point here.
Cleveland's already got Edge's clone starting for them and they got their own Hightowerish guy with Harrison who just had a big game on Monday Night. And they're another team playing for the future.
they just signed Jackson to a huge deal and have Pittman who was a fourth round pick as their back-up. again, you have a really bad team, playing for the future with two rbs in the stable already. Why sign Edge for the rest of the season?
and maybe Dallas now that Jones is out.
could be. they really have nothing behind Barber and are in the thick of the playoff race.
I also think you could add Pitt to what is IMO a very short list of teams that would take him as a 2 at this point. With Parker's injury woes and they're smash-mouth game and being in the running for the playoffs, that could be a team that would have interest in Edge as a backup.
Basically, I think Pitt, Dallas, Denver and Tampa would be interested in him as #2 - not exactly that many IMO. It's not just a matter of talent with RBs Edge's age. it's a matter of need for the team and where the team's headed. Because of that combination of factors, I think his options would be extremely limited and will be even more so in the off-season, just like Alexander.
