Get off of it jstadvl, it was not some masterplan by Wiz to save Edge for the playoffs, give me a break. We are just lucky Wiz was FINALLY smart enough to put him back in after 2 months of complete failure in the running game! Lets just say if this was planned then we have a stupid coach and he should be replaced, and I don't think he should be replaced....yet.

Ya Nash, Lets get a rope and lynch the first coach to bring a home playoff game to this franchise since around WW2.

Damn him for not being as smart as you! damn him all to hell!!

Whatever guys just because I am not all high on Whiz doesn't mean I want him fired...yet. He has done some good things but has made some questionable decisions at times as well, excuse me if I am not ready to crown his ass. He got us to win the division which was aweful but we still did it which is an accomplishment, and a home playoff win where I was there and very proud of the team. There is still plenty and I mean PLENTY of room for this team to get better, as well as the coaching staff! And I as a cards fan hope they all keep getting better, but Wiz has made mistakes I am not bashing him just pointing out he needs to get better as well as the team.

Whiz has many faults and one that he had for a verylong time but now seems to have been fixed that I bashed him on over and over are penalties on offense.

I would still like to see it fixed on defense a bit more but Ill take some encroachments if it means we get sacks and safeties.

But well done on the false starts. I hope it continues in a hostile Carolina home game.

.....yet

:biglaugh:

You just lost all credibility with me. I can point out flaws with Bill Belicheck and Bill walsh too and their teams. What Wisenhunt has done with the Cardinals in two years in not only unprecedented - it is miraculous.

Stick to the Suns big guy. Sounds like you started following this team last year or something....

I was never on it nash. Just pointing some things out. A hypothesis, so to speak. A question of why? What was the cause and the effect.
AS for giving you a break, I wouldn't break anything. If you disagree that's fine with me. You seem a bit touchy, EDGEY one might say. Relax. It was just an entertaining thought that cannot be totally tossed by the wayside because you don't like the variables in the equation.

Its not miraculous Az's finest its pretty much the same team as last year playing in an even weakest NFC west ever! I am not saying I don't like Whiz and some of the attitude he has brought, but he has without question made some bonehead decisions! Now if he can get this team to keep winning I have no problem with him just make decisions to HELP the team on the field, not your ego!

Please, Nash, my EGO? Now this is getting just plain silly. What I've said, or not, agreed with you on, or not, had nothing to do with my ego. You've really taken this thread to a lesser level than it deserves. Back door insults are no better than insults period. Too bad Nash. I thought you were all right? Guess not. Oh well.
As I said earlier, if your right, and Whiz has seen the error of his ways and done the right thing in retrospect, than all the better for the team. Guess you missed that.

Nashman, even if I completely agreed with the idea that it was a mistake to bench Edge, doesn't it speak volumes in Whis' favor that a) he didn't cater to a prima donna and b) he did, if in fact it was the issue, put his own ego aside for the better of the team? How many times have we all seen coaches stick to their guns when it was obvious they were just being stubborn?

I agree with you that he's made his share of poor decisions but for a 2nd year head coach to have the Cardinals where they are and to have advanced in the playoffs after such a total tailspin is pretty good coaching. I think it has to be remembered that he's still finding his way as a head coach. For him to have adapted so well to what he's got to work with(as opposed to forcing a philosophy or scheme) and as good of a button pusher as he seems to be is nothing but commendable from my point of view.

I find it hard to believe that Haley wouldn't have had some input into the Edge situation, he's the OC for crying out loud. Maybe it wasn't just a Whiz decision. I think it's hard to believe Whiz would just make the decision and shove it down Haley's throat.

As Jim Mora once said ' You think you know, but you don't know', so I guess I don't know

My bad then. It's one thing that is hard to be clear on it the written word unless specified. No harm.
