What are we baseing this on? Eli is going to make a shitload more money than Josh, he is going to have to sit out a year, he is younger. Josh has NFL experience....

Since someone in another thread said Josh was better than Eli I'll make it simple for ya.

Who would would you rather have as a QB?

You can't have both....and don't get so caught up in next year....think about who you think will be the best NFL QB.

This is Buckeye Cardinals' way of avoiding responding to my post on the Mock Draft post earlier.......

I second that. I'd rather take Eli over Josh -but whatever decision Dennis Green makes in that regard I will have to trust - the guy's done more with over-the hill and even bad QBs than anyone I can ever remember.

I just responded dude.

Currently Eli is ahead 7-4......those 4 would rather have Josh as QB.....I respect their opinion and hope they're correct cause we won't get or won't draft Eli anyway.

You guys can laugh at Ryans comments all you want but it really does make some semblence of sense.

Josh has shown an ability at this level in his last four games.

Can you honestly say that Eli has shown any level of ability at the NFL level? NO!

Most of you are going on name recognition which is fine. But if the exact same person in the exact same body had the exact same stats in college and didnt have a dad and brother named Manning how many of you would be harping on drafting him if he was Billy Jones????

If I had to guess not near as many!

McCown has all the physical tools to be able to suucceed at this level. Time will tell and I have faith in Greens ability to judge a QB!

Yes it will.

But if we have a chance to pick Eli and/or Ben and we pass and if Josh sucks then I'll tell ya straight up that our talent evaluators are not of NFL caliber.

It was I....Spanky.....and I didn't say Josh was better, I said he was just as talented. Gheeez, Buckeye Cardinal, if you are going to "report, "report" accurately.

(remember I'm the guy that spent 10 years in Minneapolis and am now retired and here in Scottsdale).
Go with McCown and draft one of the blue chippers! Denny will build a play off team here and does not need a super star as his qb. He always said its the offense system not the qb. Starters at Minnesota included a young Gannon, over the hill McMahon, Sailisbury, Warren Moon, Brad Johnsons, R. Cunningham, Jeff George, Duante Culpepper (I know I missed some).

McCown and King will do fine with Denny's system. We certainly don't need to waste the #3 pick on Manning (or Roethlisberger).
Pick Fitzgerald or Mike Williams and we will have a hell of a potent offense.

Well if both were equal......and the operative word here is equal, well the I'd take McCown......and I'd use the draft choice elsewhere.

Remember, your question is....if they are both equal.

Let's get back to posting and not inflaming.....gheez

Nope my ideal situation would be to trade down a few spots to say 5-7 and draft Sean Taylor. Then Take a CB in the first pick of round 2 hopefully Strait from OK will still be on the board.

That would immediately sure up the secondary and make this defense compete with the big boys.

My thoughts exactly, in todays NFL you don't need a superstar at QB to win. Add Fitz or M Williams giving McCown more weapons and just let this teamsoffense take off. McCown has as much bust potential as Manning. Lets just let McCown do his thing,he's had time to get used to the speed of the NFL game, He has had 2 years to learn. Now its time for McCown to show his stuff
