more Pete Carrol (per his presser)

the Seahawks had a blitz on the play that he thought would have blown the play up.

However, he noted the Cards o-line picked it up well, singled out Watford ( "their left guard") as throwing the key block that sprung it

It was actually Veldheer that had the key block...

Palmer - please hit the gym and start building your hand and wrist muscles. You can't be simply dropping the ball every time a big ash lineman pulls on your arm trying to pull it off the ball. Warner was the same. Good strong arm, just not very strong in the hands department and being able to hold the ball, not so much when being hit, but more when being tugged on.

AE's run was a thing of beauty.

It felt so good to see him run down the sidelines, not go out of bounds and go all the way to the endzone.

Depends on how close to the 2 minute warning. If he goes out of bounds before the 2 minute warning it would have stopped the clock. Then the 2 minute warning plus Seattle's last timeout. So three stoppages of the clock. Cannot remember how close to the 2 minute warning it was at but did not mattter in the end.

The ball was snapped at 2:07. It would've stopped at 2:02 had Ellington run out of bounds at the point where he made his sharp cut upfield (right by Stanton!). The clock didn't reach 2:00 until Ellington was squeezing past Golden at the 20 yard line. The clock stopped at 1:58 when he scored.

Of course, i wouldn't expect Ellington to be aware of that during the play. Starting the play at 2:07, the only things in his mind should've been "get the first down" and "stay in bounds".

Pete C. was gracious in defeat. He stated MANY times how good the Cardinals are as a team. He said they dug too many holes with penalties, but didn't blame the refs or his team for losing. He mostly said, that's a darn good team.

I was watching the replay on TV last night. Stanton stepped on the field twice on AE's run. The first time could have been disastrous if AE was not in the endzone.

Except that they moved down the field and kicked a first down field goal after the ensuing kick off. Who knows what could have happened if that play gets blown up behind the line? Again, very gutsy call.

They had one, maybe 2 productive offensive drives all game. I would have taken my chances with their offense coming out again no problem.
